  • Patent number: 11965362
Abstract: Aspects relate to a door device configured to open, close, lock, and unlock a door in a hands-free nature, designed to allow a user to enter and leave a single-user restroom without needing to touch the door handle and/or lock with their hand. The door device includes a latch which interfaces with a strike plate, the latch shaped with two angled surfaces which allow a door to be opened and closed. The door device also includes an interior handle extending outward from an interior side of the door, the interior handle able to lock the door by abutting the latch to fix the latch in place, the interior handle designed to lock the door with a linear directional movement and to unlock the door with an opposite linear directional movement. The door device further includes a back cover extending outwardly from an exterior side of the door, the back cover including a status indicator which provides an indication of whether the door is in a locked state.

  • Patent number: 11673277
Abstract: A clamping device comprises an inner rod, a sliding handle, one or more claws, a top yoke, a bottom yoke, a spring, and a counterweight. The sliding handle surrounds and slides about the inner rod. The top yoke is coupled to the inner rod and each claw is coupled to the top yoke. The bottom yoke is coupled to the sliding handle and each claw is coupled to the bottom yoke via linkage bars. The inner rod is coupled to the counterweight. The spring extends between the sliding handle and the counterweight. The claws, top yoke, linkage bars, and bottom yoke form four-bar linkages. The clamping device clamps an object via a spring force transferred to the claws via the four-bar linkages. Each claw provides an equivalent clamping force independent of orientation of the apparatus. Spring tension is configurable by threading the inner rod into and out of the counterweight.

  • Publication number: 20130109989
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for obtaining and processing ballistocardiograph data to determine a physiological condition of a subject. Ballistocardiograph data indicative of heart motion of the subject measured along a plurality of spatial axes by a sensor device which may comprise a three-axis accelerometer. The ballistocardiograph data is processed to determine processed data indicative of heart motion of the subject. Indications of physiological condition are determined based at least in part on the processed data. Processing may comprise aggregation of multidimensional data, determining magnitude of heart motion and derivative thereof, determining a thrust summation, determining an index value, outputting a report based on an index value, etc. Processing may be informed by operator input, such as a time window of interest or indications of interest.
