  • Publication number: 20210039340
Abstract: A small amount of high viscosity sealant is injected under high pressure into pneumatic tire punctures. By eliminating the steps of wheel, tire and tube removal and reassembly, air leakage is permanently blocked in seconds reducing down time by two orders of magnitude.

  • Patent number: 8630753
Abstract: A dynamic method to accurately determine the mass of a vehicle which deforms on acceleration and is subject to low frequency noise is disclosed. Only the greater than zero hertz frequencies of the signals are processed. Both signals are squelched during periods of high jerk to reduce the error between true mass and apparent mass. For a single body or combination vehicle such as a semi-rig with a propulsive body of known mass a reference for matched or Wiener filtering is constructed from the noisy signals to filter low frequency noise. A towing vehicle with a fifth wheel mounted on a dedicated load sensing apparatus can, therefore, determine the weight of any semi-trailer towed on any terrain of any inclination and any changing inclination with the greatest precision in the shortest possible time.

  • Patent number: 6941943
Abstract: A chafing dish for rapidly bringing catered food items up to the temperatures required for safe food handling and optimal flavor enhancement, and even heating of the food items thereafter without a constant monitoring of the flame height. The invention utilizes butane gas as a heat source and a burner control mechanism with a butane burner integrated into the base of a chafing dish, a bracket to hold a butane can securely in place, an engaging apparatus to start the flow of butane from the butane can to the burner, a copper tube to transport butane from the butane can to the burner, an electronic ignition switch and insulated wiring to ignite the butane at the burner, a burner control mechanism and regulator to regulate the flow of butane to the burner for the purpose of allowing a range of flame height and temperature, and a series of ventilation holes in the base of the chafing dish.

  • Publication number: 20030029171
Abstract: An external rotor gas turbine engine to provide direct high speed thrust or to provide rotational shaft work to power electrical generators or aircraft engine fans. To supply compressed air to the rotating inlet of the turbine or combustor, the dynamic compressor has an external rotor journaled onto an internal stator. The entire outside of the engine rotates allowing for a sealless high pressure rotating air source to the exoskeletal turbine. For the prime mover embodiment, the residual kinetic energy from the rotating nozzles may be recovered by an impulse turbine. For the high speed propulsion engine, the impulse turbine is replaces with stator vanes to redirect the momentum in an axial direction.

  • Patent number: 5943037
Abstract: A viewer orientation indicator that is presented as a set of symbols as perspective views of a three dimensional icon in association with an illustration, to provide the viewer with information regarding the viewpoint orientation of the illustration. A preferred embodiment of the viewpoint orientation indicator is a perspective view of an automobile image. Other viewpoint orientation indicator embodiments include an airplane, a computer, a truck, and a motor. The perspective view of the viewpoint orientation indicator is altered accordingly when the illustration has a changing viewpoint orientation, as with a motion picture illustration, a computer generated illustration or a holographic image.
