Abstract: A hook for hanging objects comprises a first plate for mounting to a wall, a holder and a distributor having a second plate and a thin gap between the plates for dissipating the object's weight to prevent the hook from falling off the wall. The holder has a first opening to receive a wine glass, second opening to allow the stem of the wine glass to enter the first opening and third opening for stabilizing the wine glass. The wine glass may deform the second plate, which acts as a weight watcher to indicate on a mark plate whether the wine glass is overweight, thereby further preventing any accidental falling off the hook, thus the wine glass, from the wall.

Abstract: A cartridge for preparation of a drink comprises a chamber having a top end for allowing flow of water under pressure into the chamber, a side wall and a bottom end for allowing flow of drink out of the chamber, a supply of soluble solids in the chamber, a solubility promoter adapted to move downward and to conform to the side wall of the chamber during its downward movement within the chamber for facilitating the dissolution of the soluble solids, a flow promoter for facilitating the flow of the drink out of bottom end of the chamber, and a dryer adapted to produce a supply of gas upon contacting the water for drying the cartridge for mess-free disposal.

Abstract: A lid for forming an airtight seal to a bowl or dish plate to elongate the life of product therein comprises an impermeable membrane having an outer perimeter larger than the rim of the container and an enforcement ring for enabling the formation of an airtight seal between the membrane and rim of the container under vacuum. The membrane is sufficiently soft to cause it to fill the lower sections or imperfections on the rim, thus enabling the lid to form an airtight seal to almost all household containers. The membrane may be adapted to have sufficient low tensile stress, thereby preventing the vacuum in the container from imploding or collapsing the container even if it has a thin or weak wall. The enforcement ring has vertical and horizontal rings connected to the membrane perimeter to prevent the membrane deformation at both vertical and horizontal directions.

Abstract: A pack of coffee paper filters to enable consumers to use freshly ground coffee beans to brew coffee in coffeemakers designed to use pre-packaged coffee pods comprises a stack of pan-shaped paper filters having a rim and a chamber adapted to receive various amounts of coffee beans to achieve the desired brew strength, a stack of overflow prevention sheets having a plurality of overflow stoppers connected to the sheet by bridges, and a container having a chamber to position the stack of pan-shaped filters, a guide chamber for guiding and aligning a seal presser with the rim of the pan-shaped filter and a seal platform for supporting the rim. The overflow stopper has a water permeable center portion, a sufficiently soft rim larger than rim of the pan-shaped filter and an adhesive ring at the rim on the rim.

Abstract: Apparatus for generating and delivering a pressurized hot water pulse to a brewing station comprises a water inlet adapted to close during delivering the pulse, an outlet for the pulse, a generator comprising a water heating chamber for receiving a amount of water via the inlet and for heating the water therein to produce sufficiently hot water for the brewing station, a pressurization chamber for vaporizing water to generate pressurized steam to deliver the hot water as a pressurized hot water pulse to the brewing station through the outlet, and a heating system for the heating and the vaporization of the water in said pulse generator. The chamber has a first end adapted to receive pressurized steam and a second end close to the hot water intake port of the inlet.

Abstract: Device for cooking food directly in a dish includes a generator for producing hot gaseous fluid, an applicator having a body for covering the dish, an inlet connected to generator for receiving hot gaseous fluid, a seal plate for sealing to the rim of dish to create a closed cooking chamber and a distributor for distributing hot gaseous fluid to food, and an arrangement for allowing the applicator to move upwards and downwards from and to the rim of dish during cooking process to modulate the cooking pressure for the food. Method of use comprises forming a closed cooking chamber between the applicator and dish, increasing the pressure therein to a predetermined pressure, maintaining the predetermined pressure for a period of time and superimposing numerous pressure pulses upon the predetermined pressure for more effective cooking.

Abstract: Device for preparing comestibles with hot gaseous fluid directly in a dish includes a gas-impermeable body, a fluid inlet connected to a generator for the pressurized hot gaseous fluid, a seal plate around the body for sealing to the top of the dish to create a closed cooking chamber, a distributor having a plurality of orifices to convert the pressurized hot gaseous fluid into a plurality of jets to inject onto or into the comestibles to cause uniform heating of the comestibles in the dish. It also has an extendable member for allowing the body to move between a rest position and a cooking position in which the seal plate and dish are engaged.
