The method may include using a machine-management system with at least one information processor to acquire information related to loads experienced by the power-train component during a first period, the first period occurring before a disassembly procedure involving disassembly of the power-train component from a power train. The method may also include employing the machine-management system and the acquired information related to loads experienced by the power-train component during the first period to perform one or more tasks in connection with use of the power-train component after the disassembly procedure.

Abstract: In a communication network, a method and system for confirming secure communication network setup in a wireless local area network (WLAN) are provided. After a secure communication configuration is completed in a wireless network between a configurator station and a client station, a test exchange operation may be utilized during a configurator registration window to verify or validate the successful exchange of the SSID and passphrase to the client station. In this regard, the test exchange verifies the ability of the client station to connect to the corresponding WLAN. The test exchange may comprise an IEEE 802.11 or WLAN exchange phase, a Wi-Fi protected access (WPA) exchange phase, and a secure configuration protocol echo exchange phase. The WLAN and WPA exchanges may be utilized to enable a WPA joining of the client station while the secure configuration protocol echo exchange may be utilized to provide further authentication support.

Abstract: A torque estimator is disclosed for estimating torque on a machine. A computer system may include a torque estimator module located on the machine. The torque estimator module may be configured to receive a plurality of engine parameters, receive a drivetrain component parameter, determine an estimated torque value at the drivetrain component based on the plurality of engine parameters and the drivetrain component parameter. The computer system also may include an analysis module located on the machine. The analysis module may be configured to receive the estimated torque value and the drivetrain component parameter, and update a histogram data structure based on the estimated torque value and the drivetrain component parameter. The analysis module may also be configured to evaluate the histogram data structure in order to determine if excessive torque is being applied to a drivetrain component.

Abstract: Compositions useful for the reduction of the formation of benzene in beverages containing ascorbic acid in the presence of certain transition metals utilize a blend of aqueous solutions of sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate, in an approximate 50%/50% by weight solution. A method for reducing the formation of benzene in such beverages includes adding the blend to the beverage. Methods for reducing the degradation of sorbate solutions during storage using the compositions and for accelerating the formation of benzene are provided.

Abstract: A method for reducing the growth of organisms in beverages and food items intended for mammalian consumption utilizes food grade antimicrobials of a blend of an aqueous solution of sodium benzoate and an aqueous solution of potassium sorbate that can be added to beverages and food items which have a light taste or fragrance and to which antimicrobials with a strong taste or odor are not acceptable.

Abstract: In a communication network, an architecture for supporting secure communication network setup in a wireless local area network (WLAN) is provided. The architecture may be utilized in a configurator station or in a client station for establishing a secure communication setup between the client station and the corresponding WLAN. The architecture may comprise an input interface that may be configured by a user to interface with the user's hardware or software configuration buttons. The architecture may also comprise a finite state machine (FSM), a packet processor, and a Diffie-Hellman (DH) generator. The input interface, the FSM, the packet processor, and the DH generator may be associated with the secure communication setup process. The architecture may also comprise interfaces to communicate with a wireless driver and/or an Ethernet driver, and interfaces to communicate with persistent storage, such as non-volatile ready access memory (NVRAM).
