  • Publication number: 20070268482
Abstract: A method for optically detecting an electrical arc in a power supply. The method includes capturing light with a light pipe, transmitting the captured light along at least a portion of a length of the light pipe, optically detecting the transmitted light with a photodetector which is optically coupled to the light pipe, generating a signal indicative of an intensity of the detected light, and determining whether the detected light is associated with an electrical arc.

  • Publication number: 20070048574
Abstract: A power delivery system includes a group of removable power cells. Each power cell includes a water cooled heat sink, an air intake, and an air output. The system also includes a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger draws air from the cells, cools it, and recirculates the cooled air to the cells via each cell's air intake. The cell may be designed so that components that are not near the heat sink are cooled by air from the intake before that air reaches the heat sink.

  • Publication number: 20070048561
Abstract: A method of operating a power delivery system that has at least one power cell includes directing air into the power cells to cool them, receiving the air from the cells, directing the air to a cooling system, and recirculating the cooled air to the power cells. Each cell may include an air intake, an air output, a water-cooled heat sink, and optionally a plurality of capacitor connectors and/or a circuit board. The air may be directed through the air intake to the air output so that air passes over the capacitor connectors and/or the circuit board before passing over the heat sink.

  • Publication number: 20070036716
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a solid-phase process for the production of radiolabeled tracers, in particular for the production of 18F-labeled compounds which may be used as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) radiolabeled tracers. The disclosure also relates to radiopharmaceutical kits comprising precursors to the radiolabeled tracers, which can be converted to the radiolabeled tracers using the processes described herein.

  • Publication number: 20050154185
Abstract: The present invention describes novel compounds of the formula: (Q)d-Ln-Ch, useful for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, methods of imaging tumors in a patient, and methods of treating cancer in a patient. The present invention also provides novel compounds useful for monitoring therapeutic angiogenesis treatment and destruction of new angiogenic vasculature. The present invention also provides novel compounds useful for imaging atherosclerosis, restenosis, cardiac ischemia, and myocardial reperfusion injury. The present invention also provides novel compounds useful for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. The pharmaceuticals are comprised of a targeting moiety that binds to a receptor that is upregulated during angiogenesis, an optional linking group, and a therapeutically effective radioisotope or diagnostically effective imageable moiety.

  • Publication number: 20050033044
Abstract: Disclosed are methods for preparing 2-alkynyladenosine derivatives of formula A: or a stereoisomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt, hydrate, solvate, acid salt hydrate or isomorphic crystalline form thereof, the method comprising the step of: contacting 2-iodoadenosine-5?-N-ethyluronamide with a compound of formula B: wherein Z is —C(?O)OR or —CH2OC(?O)R, where R is a C1 to C5 alkyl, preferably methyl. The methods are useful for preparing 2-alkynyladenosine derivatives that are, in certain embodiments, adenosine receptor agonists.

  • Patent number: 6301053
Abstract: A combiner assembly 20 has an optical combiner 21 mounted to a housing 22 which is further arranged for mounting to a roof structure of a flight deck of an aircraft. The combiner 21 is mounted within a frame 23 which is mounted to the housing 22. The frame 23 has first pivot point 24 which is attached to a first arm 25 which is also attached to the housing 22 at a second pivot point 26 located at a position remote from the first pivot point 24. First arm 25 is arranged to allow the combiner 21 to rotate around the housing 22 between a deployed position and a stowed position. A second arm 27 is pivotally connected to the frame 22 at a third pivot point 28, at a position spaced from the first pivot point 24, and to the housing 22 at a fourth pivot point 29, located at a position remote from the third pivot point 28 and at a position spaced from the second pivot point 26.
