  • Publication number: 20220347433
Abstract: Disclosed herein are magnetically trackable stylets and methods thereof. A magnetically trackable stylet can include a stylet body including a core wire, a magnetic assembly, and an outer construction over the core wire and the magnetic assembly. The magnetic assembly can include one or more magnetic field-producing elements disposed alongside the core wire in a magnetically trackable distal portion of the stylet body. The outer construction, which can be an overmolded layer, a reflowed layer, a potting layer, or a shrink-wrapped layer, can be around the core wire and the magnetic assembly. The stylet body can be configured to be disposed in a lumen of a medical device such as a catheter for magnetically tracking a tip of the medical device in vivo without breakage of the stylet body due to bending-related fatigue. A method of such a magnetically trackable stylet can include a method of using the stylet.

  • Patent number: 4535826
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed herein which enables on armored vehicle, carrying fuel to be dispensed, to refuel another in a rapid and safe manner under extreme circumstances of terrain and battle environment. Liquid fuel transfers from one vehicle, equipped with a boom and probe, into another vehicle equipped with a receptacle for the probe. This connected apparatus allows for misalignments of terrain and position, contamination by dust, mud or chemical agents, and impact by small arms fire.

  • Patent number: 4195519
Abstract: Water flow rate in channelized, flowing bodies of water is measured by first obstructing the flow of water in the body causing a rise in the water surface upstream from the obstruction. This rise in upstream water surface is communicated to a point above the obstruction and measured thereat. The measurement is then converted to a water flow rate. A device for measuring water flow rate includes means for producing an obstruction of water flow in the body of water thus causing a rise in the water surface upstream from the obstruction, means for communicating the rise in upstream water surface to a point above the obstruction, and means for measuring the rise at that point, all secured to a frame.
