    Abstract: A wound therapy apparatus is disclosed herein. In various aspects, the wound therapy apparatus may include a distal layer to contact a wound bed, the distal layer comprised of silicone, and fenestrations disposed about the distal layer pass between a distal side of the distal layer and a proximal side of the distal layer to communicate between the distal side and the proximal side. A pad may cooperate with the proximal side of the distal layer to receive exudate communicated through the distal layer from the wound bed via the fenestrations, in various aspects. Various materials including medicament(s) may be communicated to the wound bed through the distal layer via the fenestrations, in various aspects. A structural member may be included in various aspects to secure the distal layer and pad to a skin surface, in various aspects. Methods of use of the wound therapy apparatus are disclosed herein.     Abstract: A wound therapy apparatus is disclosed herein. In various aspects, the wound therapy apparatus may include a wound interface sealingly securable to the skin surface around a wound bed to encloses a wound boundary of a wound bed within a enclosed space formed by the wound interface that is fluid-tight. The wound interface may be sufficiently deformation resistant to distend at least a portion of the wound bed into the enclosed space when pressure p0 within the enclosed space is less than ambient pressure pamb. Fluid may be communicated with the enclosed space when the wound interface is sealingly secured to the skin surface in order to vary the pressure p0 within the enclosed space periodically over the pressure range pmin?p0?pmax, in various aspects. The wound therapy apparatus may include a pad receivable within the enclosed space to absorb exudate emanating from the wound bed, in various aspects.

    Abstract: In various aspects, a wound therapy apparatus is disclosed herein that includes a wound interface securable to a skin surface around a wound bed to form an enclosed space over the wound bed that is fluid-tight in order to maintain a pressure p0 within the enclosed space that differs from the ambient pressure pamb. The wound therapy apparatus, in various aspects, includes a dressing engaged with the wound interface to contact the wound bed. An adhesive layer may be formed on distal surfaces of the wound interface to secure the wound interface to the skin surface. When secured to the skin surface, the wound therapy apparatus includes gas within the enclosed space having an O2 concentration greater than the O2 concentration in atmospheric air, there being no gas flow into the enclosed space or out of the enclosed space, in various aspects. The dressing may include a hydrophobic material, hydrophobic material, or a distal layer comprised of silicone having fenestrations therein, in various aspects.

In various aspects, the apparatus may include fluid input into the enclosed space via the port to increase the pressure p0 within the enclosed space from the minimum pressure pmin to a maximum pressure pmax, the fluid being either a liquid or a gas having an O2 concentration greater than atmospheric air.

The wound therapy apparatus includes a control group that cooperates with the wound interface to regulate input of input fluid comprising a gas having an O2 concentration greater than atmospheric air into the enclosed space and to regulate the withdrawal of output fluid from the enclosed space in order to vary an actual pressure pa within the enclosed space generally between a minimum pressure pmin and a maximum pressure pmax, the minimum pressure pmin being less than ambient pressure pamb, in various aspects. The input of the gas having an O2 concentration greater than atmospheric air is sequential with withdrawal of the gas having an O2 concentration greater than atmospheric air, in various aspects. Related methods of use of the wound therapy apparatus are disclosed herein.
