  • Publication number: 20110112451
Abstract: Disclosed are a system and method for limiting body or joint motion using exoskeletal pieces coupled with limiting connectors. In an exemplary system, a plurality of exoskeletal pieces are attached to various positions on a wearer's body proximate to a joint or body location on or within the wearer's body. The joint or body location is selected as requiring limited motion based on, for example, the goal of avoiding causing or exacerbating bodily injury. Once so attached, limiting connectors coupling the plurality of exoskeletal pieces allow free motion or natural motion in one or more degrees of freedom of the joint or body location within certain limits, but prevent free motion outside those limits.

  • Publication number: 20100185455
Abstract: A computer system implements a method to establish a computer environment with a plurality of computer systems. Each of the plurality of computer systems can be dynamically added to the computer environment. Web contents can be distributed in real-time among the plurality of computer systems. Upon receiving a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) request from a client system, the URL request is directed to one or more of the plurality of computer systems that are in geographic close in proximity to the client system and contain the requested web contents. The one or more of the plurality of computer systems then transmit the requested web contents to the client system.

  • Publication number: 20100084366
Abstract: A bottle cap having internal threads compatibly engageable with external threads on soda or similar bottles and having lightweight, down-hanging thin strips formed from plastic or another suitable material depending from a lower edge of the cap structure. These plastic strips, in cooperation with an optional weight in the upper portion of the cap, cause a dropped cap to orient itself in an upward-facing direction. Such an orientation keeps the bottle engaging surfaces of the cap from contacting the floor or other surface upon which the cap may land. In alternate embodiments, the cap may be provided as a slip-on configuration for placing over an existing bottle cap to provide the same self-righting benefit to the existing bottle cap.
