Patent number: 10787764Abstract: A clothing ejection net for a washer or dryer and method of ejecting clothing from a washer or dryer. The clothing ejection net comprises a net body that reconfigures between a retracted net configuration and an extended net configuration in relation to the interior of a metal drum of a washer or dryer. Magnets on the sidewalls of the net body magnetically attach the net body to the interior surface of the metal drum during washing and drying operations. A pull cord at the front face of the net body pulls the net body out of metal drum, to an extended net configuration. Magnets on the inner surface of the net sidewalls separate from magnets on the outside surface of the net body, creating a discrete snap separation to the extended net configuration. The extension of the net body ejects the clothing from the clothing retention cavity of net body.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2019Date of Patent: September 29, 2020Inventor: Nathan Edward Day

Patent number: 8350702Abstract: A security tag including independent EAS and RFID components disposed in a housing configured for geometric placement of the RFID and EAS components for optimum RFID performance. The EAS component is situated in a first compartment and the RFID component is situated in a second compartment. The RFID component includes a hybrid antenna RFID inlay and an IC chip. The tag housing includes a key structure that minimizes the de-tuning of both the EAS and RFID components by positioning the IC chip such that the IC chip is closer to a first side of the second compartment than the second side of the second compartment when the antenna inlay is inserted within the housing. The housing further includes one or more pins that raise the RFID inlay above the magnetic resonator of the EAS component to further insure optimal RFID read performance.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2010Date of Patent: January 8, 2013Assignee: Sensormatic Electronics, LLCInventors: Richard L. Patent number: 7684655Abstract: An electro-optic device includes a semiconducting layer in which is formed a waveguide, a modulator formed across the waveguide comprising a p-doped region to one side and an n-doped region to the other side of the waveguide, wherein at least one of the doped regions extends from the base of a recess formed in the semiconducting layer. In this way, the doped regions can extend further into the semiconducting layer and further hinder escape of charge carriers without the need to increase the diffusion distance of the dopant and incur an additional thermal burden on the device. In an SOI device, the doped region can extend to the insulating layer. Ideally, both the p and n-doped regions extend from the base of a recess, but this may be unnecessary in some designs. Insulating layers can be used to ensure that dopant extends from the base of the recess only, giving a more clearly defined doped region.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2002Date of Patent: March 23, 2010Assignee: Kotura, Inc.Inventors: Adrian Petru Vonsovici, Ian Edward Day
