  • Publication number: 20240102751
Abstract: A shape-morphing fin includes a fixed portion, a multistable portion, a coupling portion, and a vibration source. The multistable portion functions as a negative stiffness element. The multistable portion is selectively movable between a first position and a second position. The movement between first position and the second position is configured to remove the ice formation from the structure. The coupling portion couples the fixed portion to the multistable portion. The vibration source is configured to produce a resonant vibration to engage the movement of the multistable portion from the first position to the second position.

  • Publication number: 20230232286
Abstract: In some implementations, a device may receive cell information regarding a current primary cell associated with a user equipment (UE), wherein the UE is further associated with a plurality of secondary cells. The device may determine, based on the cell information, that the UE is to be associated with a new primary cell, wherein the new primary cell is selected from the plurality of secondary cells. The device may generate configuration information indicating that: a particular secondary cell, of the plurality of secondary cells, is to become the new primary cell, and one or more other secondary cells, of the plurality of secondary cells, are to remain secondary cells. The device may provide, to the UE, the configuration information to configure the UE to communicate via the new primary cell.

  • Patent number: 11671913
Abstract: Systems and methods allow access stations to save power when no user equipment (UE) devices require service from the access station. The access station may enter a low power-consumption mode (or “sleep mode”) when the access station is inactive. The access station transmits a beacon signal when in the low power-consumption mode to indicate to UE devices in a coverage area of the access station that the access station is in the low power-consumption mode. The access station receives a wake-up signal from a device and, in response, exits the low power-consumption mode.

  • Publication number: 20230075099
Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which an SLA-based network slice control service is provided. The service may provision a network slice with multiple tiers of service based on a performance metric with differing performance metric values. The service may also provision the network slice based on other factors such as location of an application service layer network. The service may monitor and reconfigure the network slice when the performance metric is not satisfied.

  • Patent number: 9735759
Abstract: A method and apparatus for mitigating electromagnetic noise in an electronic device. The method includes generating a trigger clock signal at a first frequency, and generating a second clock signal at a second frequency. The second frequency is higher than the first frequency. The method also includes receiving an input signal with a converter circuit, detecting an event based on the trigger clock signal, and predicting a time for a conversion of the input signal based on the detected event. The method further includes blanking the second clock signal for a predetermined period based on the predicted time for a conversion.

  • Patent number: 9514066
Abstract: A real-time reconfigurable input/output interface of a controller and a method of reconfiguring the same. The reconfigurable interface enables the controller to communicate with a plurality of peripheral digital subsystem blocks, and includes an input/output interface, a profile memory, and a state machine. The input/output interface includes a plurality of data lines including a shared portion that are shared among the plurality of peripheral digital subsystem blocks. The profile memory stores a plurality of interface profiles, each interface profile defining a configuration of the input/output interface to communicate with an associated one of the peripheral blocks. The state machine is coupled to the profile memory to receive interface profiles and to the input/output interface. In response to each request to communicate with a particular peripheral block, the state machine configures the input/output interface according to the interface profile associated with the particular peripheral block.
