  • Publication number: 20120228867
Abstract: Roll grooved pipe fittings useful in the assembly of a variety of mechanically joined piping systems. These pipe fittings are roll grooved so that they can be mechanically joined directly with other like pipe fittings and/or with roll grooved straight pipe thereby substantially simplifying assembly. In addition, hybrid pipe fittings and systems are also disclosed. Methods and apparatus for manufacturing these aforementioned roll grooved pipe fittings are also disclosed and address both the roll grooving process itself, as well as various methodology and apparatus for correcting deformations that can occur as a result of the roll grooving process. Methods for using the aforementioned apparatus are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20060217028
Abstract: A toy lawn mower includes a chassis having a first end and a second end and supported by a plurality of rotatable wheels, an animated figure or body section mounted to the chassis and arranged to shift between an unshifted position in which the animated figure is disposed toward the first end and a first shifted position in which the animated figure is rotated and shifted toward the second end, and a drive train operatively coupling the animated figure to at least one of the wheels such that the animated figure is movable between the unshifted position and the first shifted position in response to rotation of the at least one wheel.

  • Patent number: 6789758
Abstract: A package of tape including a plurality of body portions. Each body portion is formed as a series of steps, each step including a plurality of turns of tape that are wrapped about a core. During formation of each step, the winding position of the tape is varied. In one embodiment, the winding position of the tape is oscillated a fraction of the width of the tape per revolution of the core, or during a revolution of the core. In an alternative embodiment, the winding position of the tape is varied by a fraction of the width of the tape in a first direction after each approximately full turn of tape. During formation of an immediately adjacent step in the same body portion, the winding position of the tape is varied by a fraction of the width of the tape in a second direction, opposite the first direction.

  • Patent number: 3940600
Abstract: Method and apparatus for blending, particularly liquid e.g. petroleum products. A number of qualities of the blended product are monitored, on line, to produce electrical signals representative of the respective qualities. The signals are operated on in a computer with a matrix which is an inversion of a matrix representative of the linear property indices of components of the blend to produce output control signals. The output control signals are fed to valves controlling the flow of components of the blend so as simultaneously to control the flow of all components to correct for any deviation of qualities without causing further deviations of other qualities of the blended product.
