Abstract: An ophthalmic lens package includes a pair of shell members that are removably attached to each other and a pair of absorbent members sandwiched therebetween. The shell members are connected to each other by a hinge at one of their ends, and are pivotable relative to each other about the hinge between a closed position, in which the shell members are attached to each other, and an open position.

Abstract: A package for contact lenses includes a first panel having a housing mechanism, such as receptacles or wells, for housing a set of contact lenses in the first panel and a covering layer removably attached to the first panel for enclosing the set of contact lenses in the housing mechanism. The package also includes a second panel attached to the first panel. The second panel is pivotable relative to the first panel between a first position, in which the second panel is folded onto the first panel, and a second position, in which the second panel is pivoted away from the first panel. When the second panel is positioned in its first position, the first and second panels form a substantially flat package which is adapted for display on a conventional display unit.

Abstract: A contact lens package includes a pair of shell members that are removably attached to each other. An sponge member positioned between the shell members contains a recess for housing a contact lens and contact lens solution. One end of each of the shell members contains a tab, the tabs being juxtaposed with one another when the shell members are attached to each other. The package is opened by pulling apart the juxtaposed tabs and separating the shell members, thereby enabling access to the contact lens. The tabs have aligned apertures for hanging the package from one end thereof. An opposite end of the package is provided with a gusset that is sized and shaped for positioning the package in a free standing position. One of the shell members contains a window for allowing visual exposure of the contact lens.

Abstract: A resealable tube supporting cap, which is strong, translucent and lightweight for use on a tube with an extended dispensing nozzle. The cap is particularly useful for a tube that contains moisture-sensitive material and provides an air-tight seal to protect the tube contents from atmospheric moisture, as well as a stable support for upright display or storage of the tube.
