  • Patent number: 10323347
Abstract: A pallet drive system is provided that is operable for use on a sewing system. The pallet drive system has a pallet that is configured to hold a work-piece in position. A pair of alignment posts is coupled to the pallet. In exemplary aspects, each alignment post has a shape with surfaces extending in three dimensions along x, y and z axes. A corresponding pair of gripping fingers is coupled to a sewing machine, corresponding to each alignment post, that are moveable between an open position, allowing the alignment post to be positioned between the gripping fingers, and a closed position where the gripping fingers surround the alignment post. The gripping fingers define a cavity in the closed position to surround the alignment post in the x, y and z axes.

  • Patent number: 10016012
Abstract: A full length composite plate to be used as part of an outsole assembly in an article of footwear is disclosed. The full length composite plate comprises a composite material that has a certain percent elongation. The full length composite plate can include a heel cup for heel stability and improved traction. The full length composite plate also can include two angled portions along an arch region that provide arch support, as well as two flattened edges along the arch region to minimize or eliminate buckling. The forefoot region can be relatively flatter than the arch and heel regions, and notches are preferably included along a portion of the forefoot to increase flexibility.

  • Patent number: 9116080
Abstract: A compression testing assembly for compression testing of a test material includes a testing stage with a first surface and a second surface. The test material is disposed between the first and second surfaces. The assembly also includes a thickness detector that automatically detects a thickness of the test material. Moreover, the assembly includes an actuator that moves at least one of the first and second surfaces toward the other of the first and second surfaces to compress the test material to a predetermined percentage of the detected thickness of the test material. Additionally, the assembly includes a load detector that detects a compression load of the test material and that detects a change in the compression load over time.
