Publication number: 20240126795Abstract: Techniques are disclosed herein for integrating document question answering in an artificial intelligence-based platform, such as a chatbot system. The techniques include receiving a query from a user, rewriting the query to include one or more specific descriptors, computing an embedding vector for the rewritten query, retrieving one or more textual passages from a document store utilizing the embedding vector for the rewritten query, determining one or more answers to the rewritten query within the one or more textual passages, and returning the one or more answers.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 13, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Applicant: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Xu Zhong, Thanh Long Duong, Mark Edward Johnson, Charles Woodrow Dickstein, King-Hwa Lee, Xin Xu, Srinivasa Phani Kumar Gadde, Vishal Vishnoi, Christopher Kennewick, Balakota Srinivas Vinnakota, Raefer Christopher Gabriel

Patent number: 10492506Abstract: Many different designs of fillet boards exist in the related art. One problem associated with processing fish is the problem of keeping a fish in a stable position to execute fillet cuts. The subject invention is an improved Fish Fillet Board and Method of Use. The subject invention relates to the field of fishing and fish processing. The subject invention utilizes a gill bracket, which secures a fish in proper position for the user to execute the first side fillet cut. Once the first side fillet cut is completed, the user then positions the appropriate number of spacers to level the fish for the second side fillet cut. Levelling of the fish significantly decreases the difficulty of the second side fillet cut, and decreases the potential of wasted meat due to an inaccurate fillet cut.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 2017Date of Patent: December 3, 2019Inventor: Edward Gabriels

Publication number: 20070205342Abstract: A device for leveling an object with over-torque protection. In one embodiment, the leveling device includes a housing including a worm gear, a driven gear, and an elevation shaft. The worm gear operably engages the driven gear, which in turn operably engages the elevation shaft. When the worm gear is rotated in opposite directions, concomitant rotations of the driven gear cause the elevation shaft to move axially up or down to provide leveling motions to an object to which the device is attached. In one embodiment, a torque-limiting mechanism includes a slip drive or clutch including (1) a drive member axially and rotatably disposed in the worm gear and having a first cam surface, (2) a driven member fixedly coupled to the worm gear and having a second cam surface complementary configured with the first cam surface, and (3) a biasing member urging the first cam surface into engagement with the second cam surface. The drive member is rotated by a manual or power tool to operate the leveling device.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2006Publication date: September 6, 2007Inventor: Edward Gabriel

Patent number: 7258313Abstract: A device for leveling an object on uneven or sloping floors. The device is comprised of a housing with a substantially hollow portion having a worm gear, a driven gear, and an elevation shaft with threads on at least a portion of the shaft's external surface. The worm gear operably engages the driven gear, which in turn operably engages the elevation shaft. When the worm gear is rotated in opposite directions, concomitant rotations of the driven gear cause the elevation shaft to move axially up or down, thereby providing leveling motions to an object to which the device is attached. A pad may be attached to one end of the elevation to prevent scratching the surface on which the object rests. The hollow portion of the housing is configured to provide at least one load-bearing surface such that no separate bearings are required with the device.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2004Date of Patent: August 21, 2007Assignee: Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc.Inventor: Edward Gabriel
