  • Publication number: 20050145593
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a closure comprising a gripping area having a covering. More particularly, the invention is directed to a closure comprising a gripping area having a covering that is a soft feel material.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 30, 2003
    Publication date: July 7, 2005
Inventors: Jaimee Simone, Edward Giblin, Craig Cicciari
  • Publication number: 20050145634
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a venting closure that reduces the amount of headspace in a container. The venting closure has a patch that changes the location and reduces the size of the vent opening. Accordingly, the vent closure enables a container which has a vent opening to holds more product without having to expand the size of the container.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20050139574
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a bottle with a handle, wherein the handle has a covering. The bottle has a base, a top part, and sides. The handle is either on the side or top art of the bottle. The material for the handle covering is preferably a soft feel material.
    Type: Application

    Inventors: Jaimee Simone, Edward Giblin
  • Publication number: 20050139609
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a pour spout fitment that has an enlarged spout opening thereby making it less susceptible to double pouring and advantageous for dispensing new flowable product forms such as gels. The pour spout opening is large relative to the bottle opening which is equated with the fitment's circumscribing wall. Accordingly, the pour spout fitment is less susceptible to double pouring and may also be useful for pouring more viscous product forms such as gels.

  • Patent number: 5460282
Abstract: A closure accommodating internal pressure build-up in a container. The closure includes a cover, the top wall of which which is provided with a small orifice. A flexible plastic film lid or patch is sealed over the orifice by sealant such as adhesive or heat-seal. The patch may also be sealed by welding. The sealant may be pressure sensitive. When pressure within the container reaches a predetermined level, a small channel will form in the patch and gases will be released. The orifice may include pre-formed V-shaped venting notches in its top edge to direct gas-pressure.
