Publication number: 20240005078Abstract: A system and method for efficiently designing a through silicon via (TSV) macro blocks are described. In various implementations, the circuitry of a processor executes instructions of a place and route tool that provides automatic placement of macro blocks and standard cells on an integrated circuit die based on a copy of a netlist of the integrated circuit being designed and a copy of a standard cell library that includes a variety of standard cells and macro blocks. The processor places two functional macros in the floorplan with a channel between them. In the channel, the processor places a TSV macro that includes at least one boundary cell inside of the TSV macro. The processor prevents placement of a boundary cell adjacent to at least one side of the TSV macro despite empty space exists due to no standard cells or macros about the at least one side.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2022Publication date: January 4, 2024Inventors: Michael Edward Griffith, Aaron Keiichi Horiuchi, Donald A. Publication number: 20210027581Abstract: Electronic gaming has a game state lock and preview of the game's result. A player's game state from a first played game is locked by the system operator. The game state and result of a game is displayed to the player once the game has completed its gameplay mechanic as a preview for deciding whether or not to exchange a credit amount for the result. The result displayed is from a ledger of results maintained by the system operator and determined by the system operator. Should a player decide to perform this exchange, the game is over. The next game is then available to be played on the game display having no relation to the previous game or result.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2019Publication date: January 28, 2021Inventors: Brett David Calapp, William Edward Griffiths, Kasey Shannon Thompson

Patent number: 7374768Abstract: A mutant virus for use as a vaccine for prophylaxis or therapy, wherein the genome of the virus is defective in respect of a gene essential for the production of infectious virus. In one aspect the mutant virus, e.g. a herpesvirus, e.g HSV-1 or HSV-2, is capable of protecting a susceptible species immunised therewith against infection by the corresponding wild-type virus. In another aspect, the mutant virus acts as a vector for an immunogenic protein derived from a pathogen, encoded by foreign DNA incorporated in the mutant virus. The mutant virus can be produced by a recombinant host cell which expresses a gene complementing the defect. The mutant virus can be infectious for the host to be protected, and the genetic defect can allow expression in the infected host of at least some of the viral genes, which can provoke a cell-mediated immune response. The defect can be in a glycoprotein gene such as gH.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 1995Date of Patent: May 20, 2008Assignee: Xenova Research LimitedInventors: Stephen Charles Inglis, Michael Edward Griffith Boursnell, Anthony Charles Minson

In one aspect the mutant virus is capable of protecting a susceptible species immunized therewith against infection by the corresponding wild-type virus. In another aspect, the mutant virus acts as a vector for an immunogenic protein derived from a pathogen and which is encoded by foreign DNA incorporated in the mutant virus. The mutant virus can be produced in a recombinant host cell which expresses a gene complementing the defect. The mutant virus is preferably infectious for the host to be protected, but the defective gene allows expression in the infected host of at least some of the viral genes, which can provoke a cell-mediated immune response.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 1995Date of Patent: April 1, 2003Assignee: Xenova Research LimitedInventors: Stephen Charles Inglis, Michael Edward Griffith Boursnell, Anthony Charles Minson
