  • Patent number: 11983792
Abstract: A graphics processor comprising a rasteriser, a renderer, and a fragment dependency manager, and a method of operating a graphics processor. The fragment dependency manager is operable to maintain plural queues, where each queue corresponds to a respective set of plural sets of one or more sampling points that an array of sampling points is divided into, and wherein each queue entry is indicative of one or more fragments that when processed by the renderer will produce rendered fragment data for one or more of the sampling points of the set of one or more sampling points to which the queue corresponds.

  • Publication number: 20240037853
Abstract: When performing tile-based rendering in a graphics processing system, lists indicative of fragments to be processed are maintained for respective sub-regions of tiles to be rendered, with each list entry representing a group of one or more fragments and including an indication of the coverage within the tile sub-region of the group of fragments that the list entry represents. The coverage information for the list entries is then used to set for entries in the list indicative of fragments to be processed for a sub-region, information indicating whether one or more processing operations are eligible to be performed for fragments that entries in the list represent.

  • Publication number: 20240037692
Abstract: When performing tile-based rendering in a graphics processing system, lists indicative of fragments to be processed are maintained for respective sub-regions of tiles to be rendered, with each list entry including, inter alia, at least an indication of the coverage within the tile sub-region of the group of fragments that the list entry represents, and an indication of whether the group of fragments that the list entry represents is eligible to undergo particular processing operations. The coverage information and eligibility information for the list entries is then used to control the processing of fragments for sub-regions of a tile, in such a way as to ensure that processing order dependencies are enforced and met.

  • Publication number: 20020058191
Abstract: This invention relates to toner resins that are synthesized by emulsion polymerization which exhibit good electrical charge stability, adhesion to paper, and rub-off characteristics. The toner resins of this invention are comprised of repeat units that are derived from a vinyl aromatic monomer, an acrylic monomer, and acrylonitrile. These resins are void of repeat units that are derived from acrylic acid. The toner resins of this invention also have a number average molecular weight of greater than 12,000, a weight average molecular weight of greater than 36,000, and a glass transition temperature which is within the range of about 45° C. to about 80° C. The toner resins of this invention are typically made by emulsion polymerization utilizing diacid cycloaliphatic emulsifiers to attain improved adhesion to paper, improved electrical charge stability, a high level of resistance to moisture, and resistance to moisture adsorption (adsorbed moisture is known to neutralize electrical charges).

  • Patent number: 6136492
Abstract: This invention is based upon the discovery that the characteristics of toner resins made by emulsion polymerization can be improved by utilizing diacid cycloaliphatic emulsifiers in the synthesis thereof. Toner resins which are made utilizing such diacid cycloaliphatic emulsifiers do not exhibit significant electrical charge effects from the residual level of soap in the resin compared to resins made using standard soaps; such as, rosin acid soaps and fatty acid soaps. They also generally contain a lower level of ash since salts do not need to be used in their coagulation. As a result of the low level of ash, the toner resin made from the diacid soap exhibits excellent resistance to moisture sensitivity and adsorption. This feature gives the toners made from these resins better electrical charge stability compared to resins made from conventional soaps since adsorbed moisture is known to neutralize electrical charges.

  • Patent number: 6036813
Abstract: A method of assembling an actuator arm for use in a disc drive is disclosed. The actuator arm includes a head gimbal assembly which supports a slider and magnetic head, and a slider supported from the gimbal. The actuator arm also includes a layer of Z-axis conductive adhesive film between the gimbal and the top surface of the slider for bonding the gimbal to the slider, and providing both mechanical support and electrical grounding for the slider.

  • Patent number: 5688757
Abstract: Certain sugar derivatives have bleach-activating effect both on "hydrophilic" stains (e.g. tea or red wine) and on "hydrophobic" stains (e.g. grass or tomato sauce). The compounds in question are derivatives of pentoses or hexoses, having a long-chain acyl group and one or more short-chain acyl or aroyl groups attached through ester bonds. Optionally, a short-chain alkyl group is attached through a glycosidic bond. These compounds are non-toxic and biodegradable, and can conveniently be prepared by methods known in the art.
