  • Patent number: 7779740
Abstract: A revolving firing pin system is mechanically linked to a screw-block in a breech-loading mortar system, wherein the revolver firing pin assembly rotates on a centerline that is offset from the centerline of the screw-block assembly. When the revolver firing pin assembly is rotated, the firing pin assembly also rotates. However, until the screw-block assembly is locked, the firing pin is in a safety position that is not in line with the primer of the munition loaded into the mortar system. Only when the screw-block is rotated into a locked position does the firing pin align with the primer of the munition to thus be able to strike the primer when the solenoid is electronically actuated.

  • Publication number: 20070158914
Abstract: A radiation limiting opening for a structure includes a door with a gasket which seals against a door frame about the opening. Spaced apart channels in the door frame define a strike plate therebetween. A film made of a material galvanically compatible with the gasket to prevent corrosion is in intimate contact with the strike plate by a seal. This seal lodges an edge of the film in each channel to create a tortuous path for radiation.

  • Publication number: 20060171299
Abstract: A customer premise device connects to one or more telephones at the customer's premises and provides the packet-switched telephony services over a communication line. In the event that the customer premise device fails to provide the packet-switched telephony services, a network device connected to the communication line can provide the packet-switched telephony services in place of the customer premise device to maintain life line packet-switched telephony services.

  • Patent number: 4974170
Abstract: A kiosk is placed on a sidewalk and has stored in an electronic memory the locations of businesses, historical sites, or the like within a predetermined distance of the kiosk. In addition, a map of the area surrounding the kiosk is stored. The kiosk has an input panel having a plurality of input keys, each key corresponding to a characteristic of the subscribers stored in the electronic memory. A user activates the apparatus by pressing one of the input keys. This causes an electronic element to search the subscribers to determine the group of subscribers having that characteristic. Then, a map is generated, and the location of the selected group of subscribers are overlaid onto the map. The map with the group of subscribers thereon is then printed and dispensed to the user.
