Abstract: A holder for an open book formed of a single piece of transparent plastic shaped to hold the book in a more or less vertical position, incorporating a spring clip on the back. A pole is attached to the holder. The bottom of the pole is shaped for ready insertion into the ground, and also designed to mount a plurality of legs attached by joints or pegs and a deformable ring. The book holder can be used without legs on a soft surface (e.g., a beach) or with legs on a hard surface.
