  • Patent number: 8533291
Abstract: A method and system for protecting publicly viewable web client reference to network accessible data includes receiving a request for a server side resource from a client. The request is triggered upon loading of a page having a component that needs to access server side resource, at the client. A token for the server side resource is generated at the server using a resource-mapper, the resource-mapper identifying the server side resource that is to service the request from the client. The generated token and contents for the component are returned to the client, the generated token identifying an arbitrary path identifier to the server side resource that is viewable to the client, the arbitrary path identifier being interpreted by the resource-mapper to enable rendering of the content for the component at the client, such that the arbitrary path identifier protects identification information associated with the server side resource.

  • Patent number: 7788341
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, a technique is provided for validating user-entered data at a server without requiring a page refresh at a client. A server sends, toward a client, a page that comprises a form through which the client's user can input data. The page comprises instructions that cause the client to send, toward the server, data that the user inputted into the form. If the server determines that the data do not satisfy the specified criteria, the server sends an invalidity signal toward the client. The page also comprises instructions that cause the client to display a message in response to receiving the signal. In response to the signal, the client modifies the display of the page to include the message. All of the above is accomplished without the client requesting additional pages from the server, and without the server sending additional pages toward the client.

  • Patent number: 4341649
Abstract: An energy storage medium that can be raised to a high energy state which is comprised of a gel of polyethylene oxide, water, and a salt which causes gelation of polyethylene oxide and water at or below about 90.degree. C., and a method for storing energy with the medium.

  • Patent number: 4331445
Abstract: A composition for the prevention of spontaneous combustion of coal is described which is comprised of at least about 2 percent of polyethylene oxide and the balance water. Also described is a method for reducing the spontaneous combustion tendency of coal by contacting coal with the above composition and then drying the coal.

  • Patent number: 4322219
Abstract: A method for reducing the moisture content of coal is described which comprises contacting coal with an aqueous solution of at least 0.1 percent of polyethylene oxide with a molecular weight of at least 200,000 so that at least 1 gram of polyethylene oxide per 1000 grams of coal is deposited upon the coal, and then evaporating the water. The preferred method for contacting the coal with the aqueous solution is by spraying the solution onto the coal.

  • Patent number: 4316811
Abstract: A dust suppressant composition is described which is comprised of at least about 0.001 percent of polyethylene oxide with a molecular weight of at least about 6500, with the balance being water. Also described is a method for suppressing the formation of dust particles by applying the aforementioned composition to a dust-producing material such that at least about 0.01 grams of polyethylene oxide is applied per 100 square inches of flat surface area of dust-producing material.
