  • Publication number: 20090095765
Abstract: A sleeve for receiving therein a convenience item, this sleeve being generally cylindrical in shape, having a substantially flat bottom, an open top, and being constructed of expansible material. In a first embodiment of this invention, the sleeve has a slot located at or near the juncture of the flat bottom with a cylindrically shared side. This slot enables a lower portion of the sleeve to be inserted over a restraining device, with the slot making it possible for the sleeve to be restrained, and caused to stay with the restraining device when the convenience item is removed from the sleeve. In another embodiment, VELCRO® is advantageously used to restrain the sleeve against removal with the convenience item from a drink recess.

  • Patent number: 5044020
Abstract: A urinal provided for the convenience and training of juvenile boys in accordance with this invention requires no plumbing, and comprises a support means having front and rear surfaces. The rear surface is adapted for attachment to a vertical surface, and the front surface has a receptacle-receiving lower portion. A dish shaped urine-receiving receptacle is utilized, with its lower portion having a configuration closely complementary to the lower portion of the support means. The receptacle has a full height rear wall and a front wall of abbreviated height, with the upper portions of the wall portions terminating in a generally oval front opening. The receptacle is insertable at an angle to the vertical into the lower portion of the support means, and likewise is able to be withdrawn for emptying by lifting upwardly at substantially the same angle to the vertical.

  • Patent number: 4634089
Abstract: A universal holder of the top loading type for accommodating and safely supporting a drink container of any of a wide variety of sizes and configurations, comprising a vertical backbone member that supports a pair of highly flexible, symmetrically configured arms each possessing substantial curvature. The two arms together form a generally circular configuration, with the tips of the arms being in general alignment, but not coming into contact with each other during normal use of the holder. The arms preferably are of non-constant cross section, possessing substantially smaller vertical dimension at their tips than adjacent the location of their attachment to the vertical backbone member. Importantly, the uppermost surfaces of the arms are flared somewhat outwardly to facilitate the downward insertion of a drink container therebetween, with the arms being sufficiently flexible as to accommodate drink containers of many different diameters.
