  • Patent number: 4142522
Abstract: A pediatric arm restraint is disclosed for restricting movement of an infant's arm at the elbow. The restraint includes an inner foam pad and an outer stiff rigidifying plastic sheet, the foam pad preferably being the larger of these two components to extend beyond the edges of the plastic sheet for comfort to the infant. Both the pad and the sheet taper from a major edge to a minor edge to facilitate forming the restraint into a conical shape for use, with the major edge being adapted for placement in an infant's axilla and the minor edge fitting below the infant's elbow. The restraint is normally flat for ease in shipping and handling, but is easily bent into a generally tubular configuration, preferably a tubular-conical configuration, around an infant's arm and then secured in that position by Velcro strips.

  • Patent number: 4128196
Abstract: An improved device is disclosed for enabling the user to comfortably carry several clothing garments on hangers. The device is generally boomerang shaped, including two opposed, elongated portions and a curved portion for placement over one's shoulder. One of the elongated portions is adapted to extend behind the shoulders and includes several indentations along its top surface to receive clothes hanger hooks, while the other elongated portion is adapted to be hand held in front of the body. The clothes carrying device is integral, is made in one-piece of plastic material and has an I-shaped cross section for flexural strength.

  • Patent number: 4078560

The restraint includes an inner foam pad and an outer stiff rigidifying plastic sheet, the foam pad being the larger of these two components to extend beyond the edges of the plastic sheet for comfort to the infant. A generally arcuate contour is provided on one edge of the restraint for placement in the infant's axilla, and the other end of the restraint extends beyond the elbow to essentially the wrist. The restraint is normally flat for ease in shipping and handling, but is easily bent into a tubular configuration around an infant's arm and then secured in that position by Velcro strips.

  • Patent number: 4059124
Abstract: A valved stopper insertable into the inlet passage of a urine bottle permits only unidirectional flow into the bottle to prevent accidental spillage. The stopper has a generally tubular body which retains a valve member. The valve member is free to move in the tube under gravitational influence. When the urine bottle is tilted or inverted the valve member moves toward the inlet opening and sealingly engages the inner surface of the tube to block off flow from the bottle.
