Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for networked fundraising and communication includes a platform for conducting regional and even global fundraising events in real-time. Individuals and/or groups from different geographic areas can participate in real-time in the events via the internet. For some events, the system enables normalized competition. Plural organizations sponsor and/or conduct events utilizing the system. The system is flexible allowing organizations to set participant entry requirements and event rules. The system functions to collect the event proceeds which are distributed following the event.
