  • Patent number: 6171024
Abstract: A material injection hopper is adapted for mounting on a movable working arm of a self-propelled vehicle. The injection hopper is carried downwardly by the working arm into a waste storage lagoon to deliver waste-processing material to a predetermined subsurface target area in the lagoon. The injection hopper includes a hopper body including an inlet for receiving the material to be delivered to the lagoon, and an outlet downstream of the inlet for discharging the material. An auger conveyor is located within the hopper body and arranged between the inlet and the outlet for moving the material entering the hopper body downstream and outwardly through the outlet to the subsurface target area in the lagoon.

  • Patent number: 6152656
Abstract: A material delivery system conveys material from a supply location at or above an area surface to a working location below the area surface. The delivery system includes a supply hopper located at the supply location and having an inlet for receiving material to be conveyed and an outlet for discharging material. An injection hopper is adapted for mounting on a movable working arm of a self-propelled vehicle, and has an inlet for receiving material and an outlet for discharging material. The arm of the vehicle carries the injection hopper below the area surface to the working location. A supply line is connected to the outlet of the supply hopper and to the inlet of the injection hopper for conveying material from the supply location to the working location.

  • Patent number: 6033154
Abstract: A self-propelled vehicle includes a waste processing attachment. The vehicle is adapted for being moved over a supporting surface, and has a moveable working arm for reaching outwardly from the vehicle and downwardly beneath an adjacent surface of a waste lagoon. The waste processing attachment injects and mixes a waste processing material into the lagoon. The attachment includes a bucket mounted on a free end of the moveable working arm, and having a plurality of spaced-apart waste sifting openings. A material delivery line extends along the working arm of the vehicle, and has a connecting end connected to a material supply source and a discharge end residing proximate the bucket. Waste processing material flowing through and exiting the delivery line beneath the surface of the waste lagoon is discharged into a target area directly adjacent the bucket and mixed with the waste as the bucket is carried by the working arm through the lagoon.
