  • Patent number: 4959923
Abstract: An electronic trap for flying insects. Insects such as flies are attracted to the trap by a UV light source and then alight on a conductive grid with carefully spaced alternative areas of opposite potential. A pulsed cycle of electricity stuns the insects, which then dive down to a trap at the bottom of the device and, being entrapped, die.
