Abstract: An apparatus dispenses a solid-form chemical in the form of a dilute solution which is ready for immediate use. The apparatus supports a capsule of the solid chemical in an inverted position above a spray nozzle. A supply of solvent for the chemical is split into two portions, one of which is directed to the spray nozzle for spraying at the exposed surface of the solid chemical to form a concentrated solution of the chemical. The other portion of the solvent is directed to the outlet of the housing where it mixes with the concentrated chemical solution so that the solution is diluted to a desired concentration for use prior to being dispensed.
