  • Patent number: 4167825
Abstract: A scraper (10) has a bowl (12) and floor (14) and is of a construction sufficient for receiving an auger (18). Material entering the bowl (12) is sometimes lodged between the auger (18) and floor (14). Apparatus (24) is provided for diverting incoming material and preventing the lodging of material between the auger (18) and floor (14).

  • Patent number: 3977101
Abstract: A control system for the hydraulically powered auger of a self-loading auger scraper that has a hydraulic cushion hitch which is locked out when the scraper is loading. A multiposition manually controlled pilot selector valve which is used to lock out the cushion hitch also initiates operation of the auger. The control system includes a pilot operated, normally open auger control valve through which flow of a signal line for a normally open unloading relief valve goes to drain. Moving the pilot selector valve from a first to a second position pressurizes the pilot line to close the auger control valve and thus isolate the signal line from drain, closing the unloading relief valve to isolate a pump for the auger motor from drain and cause it to power the motor.

  • Patent number: 3977102
Abstract: A control system for the hydraulically powered auger of a self-loading auger scraper that has an ejector operated by a hydraulic cylinder. One manual control valve starts and stops the auger in conjunction with loading. A second manual control valve powers the ejector cylinder and simultaneously operates a valve to start the auger independently of the first manual control valve.

  • Patent number: 3949892
Abstract: A vibration absorber for lift trucks is provided which acts to cushion the lift mast and counteract the tendency for the truck to engage in forward and rear pitching or loping when the tires encounter a bump or other ground discontinuity. The absorber includes an accumulator hydraulically connected to the mast tilt cylinder which is gas pressurized and a conduit connecting the accumulator with the tilt cylinders. An orifice within the conduit is sized in accordance with the truck as a primary mass and the mast fork load as the secondary mass to achieve the desired shock absorbing and damping effect.

  • Patent number: 3948049
Abstract: A pair of hydraulic motors are operatively drivingly connected to a common rotatable member and are employed for transmitting power thereto from a pair of prime movers. A first hydraulic circuit communicates with one of the hydraulic motors and includes a pump driven by one of the prime movers while a second hydraulic circuit communicates with the other of the hydraulic motors and includes a fixed displacement pump and a variable displacement pump driven by the other prime mover. A device associated with the variable displacement pump is responsive to fluid pressures in the first and second hydraulic circuits for automatically varying the output displacement of the variable displacement pump so that a predetermined relationship is maintained between the fluid pressures in the first and second hydraulic circuit.

  • Patent number: T973001
Abstract: a scraper apron assembly has a bowl member which has a front opening and first and second sides. Each of the sides has an upper portion and extends rearwardly from the front opening. Each of the upper portions has first and second end portions with a slot in the second end portion. An apron is of a size sufficient for closing the front opening, and is pivotally connected and movable through the bowl. Each of the first and second actuating motors have first and second ends and are positioned between the first and second walls of the bowl. The motors are pivotally connected at their first ends to the apron through respective flanges and at their second ends to first and second walls of the bowl.

  • Patent number: RE30127
Abstract: A control system for the hydraulically powered .Iadd.conveyor, such as an .Iaddend.auger.Iadd., .Iaddend.of a self-loading .[.auger.]. scraper that has an ejector operated by a hydraulic cylinder. One manual control valve starts and stops the auger in conjunction with loading. A second manual control valve powers the ejector cylinder and simultaneously operates a valve to start the auger independently of the first manual control valve.
