  • Patent number: 4358027
Abstract: A liquid dispenser apparatus including a liquid container, a pump for withdrawing metered quantities of liquid from the container and comprising a cylinder that defines inlet and outlet ports and a piston manually reciprocable between an intake stroke during which liquid is drawn through the inlet port and a discharge stroke during which liquid is expelled through the outlet port, a manual selector for adjustably fixing the maximum length of the discharge stroke, and a manual valve for selectively opening and closing the inlet and outlet ports. A pump rod is fixed to the piston and extends out of the cylinder so as to be manually operable to produce the intake and discharge strokes and the selector includes an adjustable limit mechanism that limits the length of the intake stroke and thereby the discharge stroke.

  • Patent number: 4101055
Abstract: Disclosed is a machine including a plurality of containers for a variety of paint colorants and a plurality of measuring receptacles, one connected for fluid communication with each of the containers. A cyclic pumping system simultaneously pumps metered volumes of colorant into predetermined measuring receptacles from their associated containers during a withdrawal cycle and then dispenses the metered volumes during a discharge cycle. Adjustment of selector mechanisms associated with each measuring receptacle provides the exact quantities of colorant required to formulate a specific volume of a desired paint color. A cycle timer establishes a uniform time period for each of the sequential withdrawal and dispensing cycles regardless of the colorant quantities being dispensed and a sequence timer can be preset to provide the number of sequential withdrawal and dispensing cycles required to formulate paint volumes that are a given multiple of the specific volume.

  • Patent number: 3952918
Abstract: Disclosed is a container for fluids and a dispenser for use in conjunction therewith. The container comprises a reinforced portion that defines an aperture and a puncturable seal closing the aperture. The dispenser includes a support for receiving and supporting the container in an operative position. When the container is placed in operative position a puncture tube automatically punctures the seal and allows fluid to flow out of the dispenser under control of a manually operated valve.
