  • Patent number: 5894960
Abstract: A non-aerosol fluid dispenser includes a pump defining a fluid chamber associated with the fluid path extending between the container and fluid outlet. The pump comprises a base presenting a chamber opening, a generally non-deformable panel, a hinge about which the panel swings relative to the base, and a hollow, collapsible bellow section extending between the panel and the base. The dispenser includes a boss sealingly received within the chamber opening, with the fluid path extending through the boss and into the chamber between the supply and discharge valves. Accordingly, when the panel is swung toward the base, the bellows section uniformly collapses, whereby positive pressure created within the chamber closes the supply valve and opens the discharge valve for discharging fluid through the dispenser outlet.

  • Patent number: 5482186
Abstract: A trigger actuated liquid dispensing pump assembly has a locking mechanism for preventing rotation of the discharge nozzle from its discharge closed position in either direction about its central axis. The locking mechanism comprises a locking element having at least one protrusion extending into a gap formed by a side wall of the shroud cover spaced from an opposing side wall of the trigger lever. A pair of such protrusions may be provided, the second protrusion of the pair extending into another gap formed by an opposing shroud cover side wall and an opposing side wall of the trigger lever. The protrusion or protrusions engage stop means comprising surfaces of the side walls forming the gap or gaps for preventing nozzle rotation in either direction.

  • Patent number: 5242089
Abstract: A miniature pump sprayer has its pump cylinder mounted within a rigid vial and throttles product during pumping through a resilient disc valve or spring valve. A coaxial rod within a hollow piston plugs into a hollow tube extending toward the rod within the cylinder for valving the inlet closed during each pressure stroke of the plunger.
