  • Publication number: 20170253982
Abstract: A micro-channel device is formed from a rigid template of a suitable material, such as wax, by forming a continuous electrically-conductive structure over the rigid template to thereby define channels. The rigid template is then removed, thereby forming the micro-channel device. Examples of micro-channel devices include micro-channel thermal management units and micro-channel chemical reactors. Micro-channel chemical reactors can be formed by coating interior walls of the micro-channel device with a suitable catalyst.

  • Patent number: 9108370
Abstract: A method of forming a metalized polymeric bubble in a space, microgravity environment is described. A liquid polymer bubble having a predetermined diameter is formed from a mixture comprising a liquid polymer and at least one of a UV curing material, a stabilizer, a UV absorber, or a surfactant. The liquid polymer bubble is cured with radiation to form a rigid polymer bubble. The rigid polymer bubble is then metalized with a metal to form the metalized polymeric bubble.
