  • Patent number: 5006860
Abstract: Connection of two T-section posts between two half rings within an annular housing, whereby the T-section posts extend substantially parallel to each other and to the central axis of the bore of the annular housing. The annular housing may have a slightly tapered bore, whereby pressing the half rings into the bore of the annular housing presses the half rings tighter against the T-section posts, locking the T-section posts and half rings within the annular housing. The T-section posts may be rigid fiberglass-reinforced plastic. The annular housing may be a polyvinyl chloride slip coupling and the half rings may be cut sections of polyvinyl chloride pipe. The connection as described may be assembled by hand. A support structure for a UHF television receiving antenna uses two equal-length T-section posts connected between two half rings within an annular housing at each end of the posts; active antenna elements are attached to one T-section post and reflector elements are attached to the other.

  • Patent number: 4872022
Abstract: Antenna of wire-like conductors, wherein two notched clamping devices snap-connect to a central post and hold a non-conductive flanged disk against said post. A notch in each clamping device extends over a perimeter flange of said disk. The antenna conductors, which are looped across and fastened to said post, have ends that are inserted through apertures in said disk into alligator clips attached to twin-lead transmission line.

  • Patent number: 4639734
Abstract: Support structure for a paraboloid reflector of electromagnetic radiation. The structure comprises a plurality of abutting flat ribs arranged on edge in rotated concentric square patterns, with the ends of inner ribs meeting the sides of adjacent outer squares at forty-five-degree angles. The concave parabolic forward edges of the ribs are aligned at their junctures, establishing the curve of a screen reflector. Corner gussets are positioned on parallel planes that are perpendicular to the focal axis of the paraboloid. The structure is assembled by inserting fasteners through matching holes in the ribs and corner gussets.
