  • Patent number: 7424494
Abstract: A system for automatically synchronizing a shared subscriber directory server with a voice messaging system. Update requests are generated for updating the shared subscriber directory server when a subscriber action or an administrative action updates subscriber information in the voice messaging system. The update requests are appended to a queue managed by an update server, and are handled by the update server in the same order as the corresponding actions that generated the requests. The update requests are read from the queue on a first-in first-out basis, are sent to the shared subscriber directory server, and are sent to the shared subscriber directory server where they are applied, thereby synchronously updating the subscriber directory server in real-time based.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 23, 2001
Date of Patent: September 9, 2008
    Assignee: Comverse, Inc.
Inventors: Doreen D. Jiang, Timothy R. Williams, Wei Shi, Ngonenokhame Inthasomsack, Kay Lynn Watman, Jianghong Zhou, Edward J. Urban, Andrew J. Scharmer

  • Patent number: 4456655
Abstract: Propagation of electrical trees and water trees in electrical insulation made of ethylene homopolymers or copolymers with an unsaturated monomer is inhibited by the addition to the insulating composition of an organic carboxylic ester having at least one aromatic ring and at least three carboxylic ester groups, the ester being liquid at the operating temperature of the electrical equipment in which the insulation is used. The main utility of the inhibitors of this invention is in the primary insulation for power transmission cables, especially those used in high voltage applications.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 28, 1982
Date of Patent: June 26, 1984
Assignee: E. I. Du Pont de Nemours and Company
Inventors: John K. Beasley, Edward J. Urban
