  • Patent number: 10980423
Abstract: Examples described herein include electronic devices which may serve as hemochromatic analyzers, leveraging sensors and computation available on the electronic devices themselves, such as smartphones and smartwatches. In this manner, minor to no hardware modification may be required to a mobile phone or other electronic device to allow the device to predict hemoglobin levels.

  • Publication number: 20170215728
Abstract: Intraocular pressure measurement devices and techniques for use therewith are generally described. In some examples the pressure measurement device may include a sleeve comprising a lower end including a first opening and an upper end. In various examples, a fastener may be used to secure the upper end of the sleeve to a device comprising an image sensor. In some examples the intraocular pressure measurement devices may comprise an applanator having an optically clear body, a first end effective to protrude from the first opening of the sleeve, and a tip at the first end. In some examples, the applanator may be slidably retained within the sleeve such that when the sleeve is positioned vertically above an eye of a subject, the applanator may slide downward until the tip of the applanator protrudes from the first opening of the sleeve and rests upon a surface of the eye.

  • Patent number: 9593799
Abstract: A system and apparatus for a slip joint mount is disclosed to accommodate thermal expansion of a generator set on a base. One embodiment includes an electric generator driven by a prime mover and an equipment mount coupled to the prime mover. A base includes a mounting aperture and means for retaining the equipment mount to the mounting aperture. Also disclosed is means for allowing for movement of the equipment mount with respect to the mounting aperture due to thermal expansion of a portion of the prime mover.

  • Patent number: 8857781
Abstract: A modular skid base is provided for supporting, for example, a power generation system that includes a prime mover (e.g., an engine) and a driven machine (e.g., an alternator; a generator; a compressor; a pump; a gear drive for, for example, heavy industrial applications; or any other type of load device). The modular skid base includes a pair of first support skid rails and a pair of second support skid rails. The modular skid base also includes an overlapping section that includes a portion of the second support skid rails overlapping a portion of the first support skid rails along a length direction of the modular skid base. The overlapping section can provide stiffness where required without adding height and mass to the entire modular skid base.
