  • Patent number: 12349530
Abstract: A photovoltaic device comprises a PIN structure in which a p-type hole transporting layer (2) is carried by a substrate (1) and a perovskite layer (3) and an n-type electron transporting layer (4) are arranged in sequence on the p-type layer. A light transmissive electrically conductive layer (9) is provided on top of the n-type electron transporting layer to form a light receiving top surface. Between the n-type electron transporting layer and the light transmissive conductive layer there is provided a structure comprising two inorganic electrically insulative layers (6, 8) having a layer of a conductive material (7) therebetween, wherein the two inorganic electrically insulative layers comprise a material having a band gap of greater than 4.5 eV and the layer of a conductive material comprises a material having a band gap of less than the band gap of the electrically insulative layers, wherein each electrically insulative layer forms a type-1 offset junction with the layer of conductive material.

  • Patent number: 12277657
Abstract: An augmented reality device generates an updated position and orientation (pose) value by initially determining, using image-based processing, a pose estimate from a current image frame, a previous image frame and a previous pose. An IMU pose is then obtained from data generated by an inertial measurement unit including motion sensors, and transformation between the pose estimate and the IMU pose is determined. The transformation is applied to the pose estimate to generate a pose update. Media content is applied to a position within an image, the position being based on the pose update.

  • Patent number: 12259518
Abstract: The present specification describes a compact, hand-held probe or device that uses the principle of X-ray backscatter to provide immediate feedback to an operator about the presence of scattering and absorbing materials, items or objects behind concealing barriers irradiated by ionizing radiation, such as X-rays. Feedback is provided in the form of a changing audible tone whereby the pitch or frequency of the tone varies depending on the type of scattering material, item or object. Additionally or alternatively, the operator obtains a visual scan image on a screen by scanning the beam around a suspect area or anomaly.

  • Patent number: 12242180
Abstract: An advanced tool drive system (ATDS) is capable of grasping a variety of tools through a common interface and provides multiple modes of operation for these tools for these tools. The ATDS is a combination of both a tool actuator and tool change-out mechanism and provides three nested drive actuators-two rotary and one linear. In addition to the tool drive, the ATDS includes four brushless direct current (BLDC) motors which provide the actuation torque to accomplish the multiple modes of ATDS operation, and a camera positioning mechanism (CPM) capable of viewing features on a client satellite or asteroid. By consolidating the drive actuation motors within the ATDS, the design of mating tools becomes less complex and reduces risk and cost of multiple drive actuators having to be installed in multiple tools.

  • Patent number: 12230117
Abstract: An aerial vehicle is programmed or configured to respond to reports of events or conditions within spaces of a facility. The aerial vehicle travels to a location of a reported event or condition and captures data using onboard sensors. The aerial vehicle independently determines whether the reported event or condition is occurring, or is otherwise properly addressed by resources that are available at the location, using images or other data captured by the onboard sensors. Alternatively, the aerial vehicle transmits a request for additional resources to be provided at the location, where necessary. A map of the location generated based on images or other data captured by the onboard sensors may be utilized for any purpose, such as to make one or more recommendations of products that are appropriate for use at the facility.
