Abstract: A mailbox standard for maintaining roadside mail receptacles. Fundamentally, the invention includes a vertical post inserted into the ground and having extending therefrom, and perpendicular thereto, a horizontal member upon which the mailbox may be maintained. The horizontal member is rotational with respect to the vertical member and is biased by either gravity or mechanical biasing devices to maintain a predetermined normal position.
