  • Patent number: 10985299
Abstract: Light emitting devices (LEDs) are described herein. An LED includes a light emitting semiconductor structure, a wavelength converting material and an off state white material. The light emitting semiconductor structure includes a light-emitting active layer disposed between an n-layer and a p-layer. The wavelength converting material has a first surface adjacent the light emitting semiconductor structure and a second surface opposite the first surface. The off state white material is in direct contact with the second surface of the wavelength converting material and includes multiple core-shell particles disposed in an optically functional material. Each of the core-shell particles includes a core material encased in a polymer or inorganic shell. The core material includes a phase change material.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 9958088
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a microvalve using surface tension, a microfluidic chip including same and a method for manufacturing same. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a microvalve using surface tension, a microfluidic chip including same and a method for manufacturing same, wherein the microvalve can be manufactured through a simple process and the microvalve and a coaxial sample channel are not separated, and thus the microvalve may be easily installed not only in an existing quadrangular channel but also in the coaxial channel so as to control the flow and amount of a microfluid (sample).

  • Publication number: 20070224651
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions for improving assay accuracy for plasma samples by decreasing or eliminating false results due to platelet interference. The compositions of the present invention comprise compositions that include a platelet interference reducing agent in an amount effective to decrease the platelet interference activity in the plasma sample, particularly platelet-rich plasma sample, to be analyzed. The most preferred platelet interference reducing agent of the present invention is 1-(1,3-Bis(hydroxymethyl-2,5-dioxoimidazolidin-4-iyl)-1,3-bis(hydroxymethyl) urea, also called “Diazolidinyl urea” or “DZU”.
