  • Publication number: 20240168981
Abstract: Systems, methods and products for reducing discovery costs by automating the discovery of custodians of materials that are relevant to a particular litigation matter. The disclosed embodiments examine the data that is available through various data management tools and corresponding data stores, assign weights to various pieces of information that are available based on the types of the data, their associations with particular custodians or matters, etc., and rank a set of potential custodians based on the data and associated weights that are associated with the respective potential custodians. The disclosed embodiments then select, based on their respective rankings, a group including a configurable number of the potential custodians. The selected group of potential custodians can then be provided to an output interface.

  • Publication number: 20240004930
Abstract: Embodiments as disclosed herein provide a search system with an pre-indexing filter that provides both a sophisticated and contextually tailored approach to filtering documents and a corrector that is adapted to alter a document that has been designated to be filtered out from the indexing process and determine if the altered document should be indexed. The alteration of the document may be tied to the attributes, rules or thresholds used to initially filter the document from the indexing process. The filtering criteria can thus be tailored to a specific context such that both the initial filtering and the alteration process may be better suited for application in that context.

  • Publication number: 20230409820
Abstract: A whitelisting approach to redaction may include receiving a normalization request containing a binary file with complex structured data, such as a workbook or spreadsheet file, from an application on a user device through a redaction service provided by an e-discovery platform. In response to the normalization request, a normalization process starts and runs asynchronously to apply a whitelist to the binary file. The whitelist is configurable and specifies features (e.g., data types, workbook object types, etc.) of the binary file that are considered safe by a party to a lawsuit or investigation. The normalization process includes a pre-processing stage, a transferring stage, and a post-processing stage to push all the data to a visible level and produce a normalized document with the whitelisted features. An artifact containing the normalized document can then be generated and used to render a normalized representation for interactive redaction.

  • Patent number: 4183178
Abstract: A vehicle window assembly having a window panel (11) movable in spaced relationship to and along a fixed guide (24) during raising and lowering movements. Interposed between the window panel and guide rod are guide means (13 and 15) that allow quick adjustment during the assembly of the vehicle body of the position of the window panel relative to body seals around the perimeter of the window opening. This quick adjustment is achieved through resilient retainer devices (32) having ratchet action engagement with the guide means 15 that controls the lateral spacing of the window panel relative to the guide rod. After the desired spacing is achieved through the quick adjustment devices, permanent fastening devices may be tightened to complete the installation procedure.
