Patent number: 9953637Abstract: Features are disclosed for processing user utterances and applying user-supplied corrections to future user utterances. If a user utterance is determined to relate to a speech processing error that occurred when processing a previous utterance, information about the error or a correction thereto may be stored. Such information may be referred to as correction information. Illustratively, the correction information may be stored in a skip list. Subsequent utterances may be processed based at least partly on the correction information. For example, speech processing results generated from processing subsequent utterances that include a term associated with the error may be removed or re-scored in order to reduce or prevent the chance that an error will be repeated.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2014Date of Patent: April 24, 2018Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Giuseppe Di Fabbrizio, Wei Chen, Benjamin Edward Lambert

Patent number: 8706636Abstract: Digital assets are tracked through the use of digital serial numbers. Systems equipped with the present invention can uniquely identify copies of assets within it. Assets that originate within the system can be uniquely identified even outside the system. The transaction history can be traced by looking up the transaction history associated with an assets' serial number. The serial number applied to an asset is unique to each transaction and can be applied at the time a copy is made. Database entries are created that link each unique serial number to aspects of the transaction. Each serial number can reference details about a particular transaction such as parties involved, date and time of copy, ownership, terms of use, and payment terms.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2011Date of Patent: April 22, 2014Assignee: Content Technologies LLCInventors: Bryan Dunkeld, Edward Lambert

Patent number: 8583556Abstract: Digital assets are provided for distribution within an electronic network. The digital asset includes digital content that is associated with a digital rights holder. A serial number is provided for (embedded within) the asset; this number uniquely identifies a first introduction of digital asset for distribution within the electronic network. The asset is then posted in a number of locations so that it can be distributed to users. A transaction database is updated to reflect occurrences of different instantiations of the asset.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2011Date of Patent: November 12, 2013Assignee: Content Technologies, LLCInventors: Bryan Dunkeld, Edward Lambert

Patent number: 8200581Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for identifying and converting digital media assets within a system through the use of identification data. A client device is examined to detect media assets lacking such identification data; the identification data is then applied to each detected asset with data specific to the customer and digital media asset. To facilitate transfers and ease of use the digital media assets can be made DRM-free.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2008Date of Patent: June 12, 2012Assignee: Content Technologies, LLCInventors: Bryan Dunkeld, Edward Lambert

Publication number: 20040144093Abstract: A piston pump with a working fluid region, drive mechanism and a lubricating fluid region. The pump's working fluid region is configured to circulate a working fluid through an external circuit, such as a micro combined heat and power system. The working fluid region is separated from its lubricating fluid region by a seal. By keeping a sufficient quantity of lubricating fluid against the lubricating fluid region side of the seal, leakage of working fluid from the working fluid region to the lubricating fluid region can be significantly reduced. The pump may include various alternative forms of lubricant pumping devices to effect transport and pressurization of the lubricating fluid, including a variable volume pumping cavity, separate oil transfer pump, and mixture between the lubricating fluid and high pressure working fluid. Various piston configurations in the working fluid region may also be used to improve piston sealing.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 28, 2003Publication date: July 29, 2004Inventors: William Thompson Hanna, Jan Beryl Yates, John Edward Lambert, Scott Nicholas Danhof

Publication number: 20030213246Abstract: Microprocessor-based control sub-systems which control the thermal and electrical output of integrated micro-combined heat and power generation (M-CHP) systems used to supply domestic electrical power, domestic space heating (SH) water, and domestic hot water (DHW). The M-CHP system uses a microprocessor controller to control the internal operating conditions, such as pump speeds, gas flow rate, and evaporator outlet temperature. Controlling these parameters enables setting the capacity of the system at any instant in time, thereby permitting load following, using a variable capacity operation. The controller also monitors through sensors a number of additional safety controls and system protection devices, such as relays/contactor of the alternator to grid, and electrical trips to the feed pump, the oil pump, the hydronic pump, the blower, the gas valve, the expander bypass valves, and other electrically powered devices in the system.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 15, 2002Publication date: November 20, 2003Inventors: John Gordon Coll, William Thompson Hanna, Donald Anson, George Henry Stickford, John Edward Lambert, Jan Beryl Yates, Raymond Zaborski
