Patent number: 8706636Abstract: Digital assets are tracked through the use of digital serial numbers. Systems equipped with the present invention can uniquely identify copies of assets within it. Assets that originate within the system can be uniquely identified even outside the system. The transaction history can be traced by looking up the transaction history associated with an assets' serial number. The serial number applied to an asset is unique to each transaction and can be applied at the time a copy is made. Database entries are created that link each unique serial number to aspects of the transaction. Each serial number can reference details about a particular transaction such as parties involved, date and time of copy, ownership, terms of use, and payment terms.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2011Date of Patent: April 22, 2014Assignee: Content Technologies LLCInventors: Bryan Dunkeld, Edward Lambert

Patent number: 8626838Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for identifying and transferring digital media assets within a system through the use of identification data. The identification data is applied to each transferred copy and includes data specific to the customer and digital media asset. To facilitate transfers and ease of use the digital media assets can be made DRM-free.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2012Date of Patent: January 7, 2014Assignee: Content Technologies, LLCInventors: Bryan Dunkeld, Edward Lambert

Patent number: 8583556Abstract: Digital assets are provided for distribution within an electronic network. The digital asset includes digital content that is associated with a digital rights holder. A serial number is provided for (embedded within) the asset; this number uniquely identifies a first introduction of digital asset for distribution within the electronic network. The asset is then posted in a number of locations so that it can be distributed to users. A transaction database is updated to reflect occurrences of different instantiations of the asset.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2011Date of Patent: November 12, 2013Assignee: Content Technologies, LLCInventors: Bryan Dunkeld, Edward Lambert

Patent number: 8200581Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for identifying and converting digital media assets within a system through the use of identification data. A client device is examined to detect media assets lacking such identification data; the identification data is then applied to each detected asset with data specific to the customer and digital media asset. To facilitate transfers and ease of use the digital media assets can be made DRM-free.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2008Date of Patent: June 12, 2012Assignee: Content Technologies, LLCInventors: Bryan Dunkeld, Edward Lambert

Publication number: 20050026553Abstract: Organic bonded abrasive tools, having controlled microstructures, comprise a relatively low volume percentage of abrasive grain and a relatively low hardness grade, but are characterized by the excellent mechanical strength and efficient grinding performance of much harder grade, lower porosity tools, especially in versatile grinding processes, such as centerless grinding. A method for centerless grinding with these tools is provided. Methods for making the abrasive tools utilizing agglomerated abrasive grain are described.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 23, 2004Publication date: February 3, 2005Inventors: Anne Bonner, Edward Lambert, Bruce Vigeant, Eric Bright

Patent number: 6015338Abstract: Abrasive tools and a grinding process are for use in the manufacture of hypodermic needles. In particular, a formulation including selected bond components, and a process for manufacturing grinding wheels having an embrittled bond permits a new method for grinding of fine hollow metal tubes to shape the tips of hypodermic needles with the substantial elimination of metal burrs or fines from the grinding process.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 1997Date of Patent: January 18, 2000Assignee: Norton CompanyInventors: Keith C.
