Abstract: This invention introduces an advertising method that enables content or media (including but not limited to all contents or media on the internet, pictures, videos, radio, television, newspaper, magazines, and other forms of mediums that are capable of being related to products and services) to be tagged with predefined keywords or phrases (also including but not limited to videos, audios, pictures, and other methods of identifying content) advertisements, affiliate marketing advertisements, or additional information. Said predefined keyword tags are stored in a database and are associated directly to predefined advertisements (including but not limited to manufacturers, companies, product selling/distributing agencies, and any other form of stores or shops), affiliate marketing advertisements, or additional information.

Abstract: A dynamic image delivery system receives a client request for an image at an image caching server. The image caching server measures the client's network access speed and looks for an appropriate pre-rendered copy of the requested image that is rendered for the client's network access speed in local storage. If the appropriate rendered copy is found, then the image caching server sends the rendered image to the client. If it is not found, then the image caching server dynamically renders a copy of the image and sends it to the client.

Abstract: A method and mechanism for a distributed on-demand computing system. The system automatically provisions distributed computing servers with customer application programs. The parameters of each customer application program are taken into account when a server is selected for hosting the program. The system monitors the status and performance of each distributed computing server. The system provisions additional servers when traffic levels exceed a predetermined level for a customer's application program and, as traffic demand decreases to a predetermined level, servers can be un-provisioned and returned back to a server pool for later provisioning. The system tries to fill up one server at a time with customer application programs before dispatching new requests to another server. The customer is charged a fee based on the usage of the distributed computing servers.

Abstract: A dynamic multimedia fingerprinting system is provided. A user requests multimedia content from a Web cache server that verifies that the user is authorized to download the content. A custom fingerprint specific to the user is generated and dynamically inserted into the content as the content is delivered to the user. The custom fingerprint can be generated on the Web cache server or at the content provider's server. The system allows a content provider to specify where the custom fingerprint is inserted into the content or where the fingerprint is to replace a placeholder within the content.

Abstract: An adjustable car seat head rest adapted for mounting on a car seat having two spaced apart retention slots, a head pillow having an interior cavity for a supporting frame wherein a display screen is supported thereon, and an adjustable mounting arrangement which allows the head pillow to be mounted onto the car seat. The mounting arrangement further has a length-adjustable sliding guider, two supporting arms downwardly and parallelly extended from the sliding guider to define an engaging distance between them, and an adjuster provided at the sliding guider to selectively adjust the engaging distance of the supporting arms such that the two supporting arms are adapted for engaging with the two retention slots respectively so as to securely support the head pillow on the car seat.

Abstract: A vehicle multimedia system includes a head pillow, a display screen supported at the rear side of the head pillow, a central control, which is adapted for being installed at a predetermined location of the vehicle, electrically linked to the display screen via a connection cable running through one of the supporting arms such that the connection cable is extended between the display screen and the central control in a hidden manner, wherein the central control selectively generates a signal and transmits the signal to the display screen through the connection cable, so as to display on the display screen. Thus, the central control provides both the synchronizing mode and the discrete mode such that more than one function is selectively operated by the central control through the different display screen to meet the needs of passengers.

Abstract: Method and apparatus that use voice/audio recognition and analysis technologies to deliver assigned context sensitive information and data of interest (keywords, phrases, mood, etc.). Context sensitive information and data of interest can be extracted from any voice/audio transmissions and voice/audio recordings (or any transmission or recording that includes voice/audio) for advertising purposes. This invention includes the said assigned context sensitive information and data of interest extraction method using voice/audio recognition and analysis technologies. Most importantly, this invention opens up new doors to advertising using extracted context sensitive information and data of interest from voice/audio transmissions and recordings (or any transmission that includes voice/audio).

Abstract: A wireless entertainment and security system includes a security arrangement, a base station, and a wireless communication arrangement. The security arrangement includes a video activator defining a security area, and a video capturing device electrically linked to the video activator and arranged in such a manner that when the video activator activates the video capturing device, the video capturing device is arranged for capturing video within the security area. The base station includes a display unit, an entertainment module arranged for reading a multi-media data, and a security control module, wherein the display unit is linked to the entertainment module and the security control module for selectively switching between a default entertainment display mode and a security display mode. The wireless communication arrangement wirelessly links the security arrangement with the base station to wirelessly transmit the video data to the security control module when the video capturing device is activated.

The console arrangement includes a DVD player housing, which is adapted for securely supporting within an interior of a vehicle, having a receiving cavity to detachably receive the portable DVD player therein and including an output adapter, which is arranged for electrically extending from a power source of the vehicle, detachably connected to the output terminal of the portable DVD player so as to electrically connect the portable DVD player with respect to the power source of the vehicle.

Abstract: An apparatus for calibrating gain of an radio frequency receiver (“Rx”) is disclosed to provide, among other things, a structure for performing in-situ gain calibration of an RF integrated circuit over time and/or over temperature without removing the RF integrated circuit from its operational configuration, especially when the gain of the RF integrated circuit is susceptible to variations in process, such as inherent with the CMOS process. In one embodiment, an exemplary apparatus includes a thermal noise generator configured to generate thermal noise as a calibrating signal into an input of an Rx path of an RF integrated circuit. The apparatus also includes a calibrator configured to first measure an output signal from an output of the Rx path, and then adjust a gain of the Rx path based on the thermal noise. In one embodiment, the thermal noise generator further includes a termination resistance and/or impedance.

Abstract: A terminal connection device is adapted for connecting two voice coils in a speaker between a series connection and a parallel connection wherein the terminal connection device includes a jumper housing and a terminal switch detachably mount thereto. The jumper housing includes a jumper circuit defining a plurality of jumper inlets adapted for electrically connecting with electric outputs of the voice coils respectively and a plurality of jumper terminals electrically extended from the jumper inlets respectively. Abstract: A method for autonomously and dynamically optimizing transmission power of an endpoint in a wireless network includes the step of monitoring a received signal strength, a received signal quality and a transmission error rate of a signal transmitted between an access point in the wireless network and the endpoint at a given transmission power and transmission speed. The method also includes the steps of reducing the transmission power when the received signal strength, the received signal quality and the transmission error rate are at respectively acceptable operating levels and then monitoring the transmission error rate of the signal transmitted at the reduced transmission power level. The method further includes the step of adjusting one of the transmission power or the transmission speed based on whether the transmission error rate of the signal transmitted at the reduced transmission power is still at its respective acceptable operating level.

More specifically, an apparatus and method for providing precise control of the filter cut-off frequency at high frequencies is disclosed. The transmission system and method can be used in transmission of Ethernet signals onto an unshielded twisted pair cable. In addition, with appropriate modification, the transmission system and method can be used for transmitting ATM or other signals onto a transmission medium.

Further, a method for optimizing the output signal through user control is disclosed. The control system and method can be used in transmission of Ethernet signals onto an unshielded twisted pair cable. In addition, with appropriate modification, the transmission system and method can be used for transmitting ATM or other signals onto a transmission medium.
