  • Patent number: 7685861
Abstract: A calibration device is described for use in calibrating an ultrasonic pulse echo apparatus for detecting a moving object in a fluid, where the ultrasonic pulse echo apparatus includes an ultrasonic transducer and calibration circuitry. A connector has a first end for connecting with a first fluid conduit and a second end for connecting with a second fluid conduit. A cavity between the first and second ends permits the fluid containing the moving object from the first conduit to flow through the connector cavity to the second fluid conduit. A first calibration sphere is positioned relative to the connector for reflecting an ultrasonic pulse signal transmitted by the ultrasonic transducer. The reflected ultrasonic pulse signal is useable by the calibration circuitry to calibrate the ultrasonic pulse echo apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7302950
Abstract: A patient interface assembly adapted to be connected to a gas supply pump to deliver breathable gas to the inlet of a patient's respiratory system comprises a supply conduit, a patient interface, a branch swivel connector including a Y-piece and an elbow that swivels relative to the Y-piece, the branch swivel connector being adapted to be located to the rear of a patient's head in use and being connected to the supply conduit. A pair of inlet tubes each have a first end positioned in use near a mouth of a patient and are connected to the nose mask, a middle portion arranged to pass across a cheek of a patient and an end portion being joined to the Y-piece of the branch connector. The inlet tubes have a flat configuration and are provided with a plurality of internal ribs which prevent the tubes being crushed. A strap is secured to the patient interface and adapted to pass around the sides and rear of the head to hold the patient interface in position on the head.

  • Publication number: 20060131465
Abstract: A pipe support includes a base, and a clamp that fits onto a protrusion of the base. The clamp and the base protrusion have opposed rigid pipe-receiving surfaces, thus defining a pipe-receiving area or region between the surfaces. In this area one or more pipes of various sizes may be removably secured. Asymmetric teeth on both the protrusion and legs of the clamp, may be utilized to secure the clamp to the protrusion of the base. The base has a flat bottom for resting flat along a flat surface, such as a roof or ceiling surface. The flat bottom may have an upturned lip to prevent damaging of the flat surface during installation of the pipe support. The flat bottom may also have drainage passages or a channel that may facilitate drainage of rainwater off of the top side of the flat bottom.
