  • Patent number: 11857768
Abstract: A filtering needle assembly for use in administering a liquid payload, including: a needle and connector portion; a filtering needle body cap; a seal plug, and a filter: The seal plug initially lacking a needle channel so that a distal end of a hollow needle must be forced through the distal end of the seal plug while the seal plug is retained by a holding tool with a hollow midline of adequate depth to receive the protruding end of the hollow needle. An attempt to reuse the filtering needle assembly with a second insertion of a hollow needle into the filtering needle assembly will not work as the distal end of the hollow needle will push the seal plug distally rather than traverse the seal plug.

  • Patent number: 11383017
Abstract: A surgical collection assembly for filtering material from liquid obtained during surgery has a distal plunger plate that is used to compress collected material that is filtered from liquid and entrained materials gathered during surgery. The distal plunger plate needs to be maintained above the collection jar inlet during collection of the liquid and entrained material. This disclosure teaches several ways to reversibly retain the distal plunger plate above the collection jar inlet. Also taught is a drape clamp that can affix the assembly and related tubing to a drape.

  • Patent number: 11148744
Abstract: A device facilitating the lubrication of cable housings comprising a reservoir for liquid lubricant, a radial longitudinal slot, a cinching flap to hold the device in place and assure a secure seal, and a hole shaped to allow the use of a single device with cable housings of different types. The present invention relates to the maintenance of mechanical cable systems, especially the lubrication of bicycle cable systems.

  • Publication number: 20070201028
Abstract: A device for measuring near forward scatter caused by particulate matter in a fluid is disclosed. The device comprises, according to various embodiments, a transceiver and a reflector. The transceiver includes a light source and a detector. The reflector is positioned opposite the transceiver so that at least a portion of the fluid is present between the transceiver and the reflector. The reflector includes a front portion facing the transceiver. Optical energy from the light source incident upon the reflector is reflected towards the transceiver as a return beam of optical energy, wherein the detector senses primarily optical energy of the return beam that is scattered over a range of near forward angles by particulate matter in the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20050045778
Abstract: A holder for wine and other beverage bottles is provided which is appropriate for placement on a table top and is so designed as to be resistant to tipping over. The wine holder iscomprised of a support base which rests on, and can be affixed to, a table top; a continuous elongated oval shaped vertical support frame which contains a cylindrical wine and coolant receptacle between the arms of the frame and wherein the receptacle can be rotated away from the vertical to access the wine bottle.
