  • Patent number: 11207611
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and process for fractionating a hydrocarbon liquid feed using a single dividing wall column (DWC), an externally heated reboiler connected to the DWC, and a deisobutanizer (DIB) integrated with a compressor. The majority of all externally supplied heat energy supplied to the system is input to the system via the externally heated reboiler of the DWC.

  • Patent number: 7506466
Abstract: The improved sign/banner support is comprised of two parallel banner rods, each parallel to the vertical axis of a round or polygonal pole and each terminating in a cincture dimensioned to compressibly clinch the pole. The banner rods and cincture are comprised of a single length of a springable wire material. The rods are spaced to form an opening whereby the improved banner support may be presented to the pole. When mounted on the pole, the banner rods abut against the pole while the cincture forms an acute angle with respect to the vertical axis of the pole.

  • Patent number: 7386380
Abstract: An electronic controller with a sensed ground speed input calculates appropriate cotton harvester row unit speed based on harvester ground speed and a preset ground speed versus a unit speed curve. The controller includes an automatic or manual ratio adjustment input. The ratio adjustment input allows the unit speed to be increased or decreased from the preset speed. The controller reads row unit speed via unit speed sensors and sends a signal to the unit speed actuator or electronic drive control (EDC) on a hydro, variable sheave, or other variable drive device to adjust unit speed to the calculated value. A detector or field vision device such as a camera responsive to cotton on the plants provides a signal to the automatic ratio adjustment input to change the ratio for increased productivity and reduced machine wear.

  • Publication number: 20040218979
Abstract: A passive system for effectively removing excess water from a soil profile. The system includes an array of fibrous capillary drains inserted at regular intervals into the soil profile. These capillary drains traverse one of more of the layers of the soil profile. Typically, the soil profile in question includes a root zone and a gravel layer beneath the root zone, and the capillary drains provide a continuous porous pathway of capillary pores extending from the lower reaches of the root zone through the gravel layer. The capillary drains themselves may be constructed from fiberglass rope, fiberglass tape, or a contained column of sand or similar particulate matter.

  • Patent number: 5759089
Abstract: A surface finishing apparatus for in-line outer surface finishing of elongate cylindrical tubing. The tubing, such as tubing, is fed onto an elongate mandrel and through the finishing apparatus from an infeed to an outfeed position and rotated on the mandrel on its longitudinal axis. The outer surface of the tubing is finish treated as the tubing is fed through the apparatus while being supported on the mandrel. The finishing apparatus includes a rotatable finishing wheel having a finish-treating peripheral surface for being applied in an in-line orientation against the outer surface of the tubing as the tubing is simultaneously fed and rotated through the finishing apparatus. The wheel is mounted on an axis of rotation which is variable within a predetermined range of motion from one side to the other of the longitudinal axis of the tubing and oscillates back and forth within the predetermined range of motion while in continuous contact with the tubing.

  • Patent number: 5658187
Abstract: A surface finishing apparatus for in-line outer surface finishing of elongate cylindrical stock. The stock, such as tubing, is fed through the finishing apparatus from an infeed to an outfeed position and rotated about its longitudinal axis. The outer surface of the stock is finish treated as the stock is fed through the apparatus. The finishing apparatus includes a rotatable finishing wheel having a finish-treating peripheral surface for being applied in an in-line orientation against the outer surface of the stock as the stock is simultaneously fed and rotated through the finishing apparatus. The wheel is mounted on an axis of rotation which is variable within a predetermined range of motion from one side to the other of the longitudinal axis of the stock. The finishing wheel is oscillated back and forth within the predetermined range of motion while in continuous contact with the stock.

  • Patent number: 4802120
Abstract: A system bus control circuit associated with a central processing unit that generates control signals and in which the control circuit is constructed of a timing circuit having a plurality of successively connected timing stages constructed of data flip-flops for respectively generating sequentially time-displaced timing control signals. A gate array is employed for providing additional logic gating. The control signal from the central processing unit coupled to one group of input lines of the gate array. A second group of input lines to the gate array are coupled from the timing circuit and in particular the individual stages of the timing circuit. The output lines from the gate array generate timing signals that control data bus operation.
