Abstract: A validating system is contemplated to facilitate interchangeable use of safes configured to electronically validate paper currency or other types of currency. The validating system may allow currency delivery entities to exchange safes rather than having to remove a cassette or otherwise access contents stored within the safe.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a method of using a control unit to control an electronic lock on a safe comprising the steps of providing an electronic lock for the safe, receiving signals at the electronic lock from the computer, and controlling the safe in response to the signals. An apparatus for controlling an electronic lock on a safe comprising an electronic lock incorporated in a safe an input/output port coupled to the electronic lock for receiving signals from a control unit, and a control signal received at the input/output port for opening the safe.

Abstract: A coin dispensing system comprises a drawer including a bottom wall connected to opposite sidewalls, and a plurality of spaced dividers between the opposite sidewalls defining a plurality of columns for supporting vertical tubes of currency. A plurality of dispensers, one for each column, are provided each for withdrawing tubes of currency from an associated column. A plurality of sensors, one for each column, are provided each for sensing quantity of tubes in the associated column. A control system is operatively associated with the sensors for determining quantity of currency in the drawer.
