  • Publication number: 20180349978
Abstract: Included is a method for providing a customized product recommendation to a user. Images of people are collected from a database. A neural network is used to evaluate the images to identify a consumer trend. Information is collected from the user to determine if the user's style or desired style falls within the consumer trend. A product for the user is selected from at least two available products whose style falls within the consumer trend. The selected product is recommended to the user.

  • Patent number: 9221185
Abstract: A shaving razor with a handle and a housing mounted to the handle. The housing has a proximal end portion, a distal end portion, and at least one blade having a cutting edge. The blade is mounted to the housing with a blade support structure. A guard is at the distal end portion of the housing and has a plurality of projections substantially perpendicular to the blade that define a plurality of slots. A washout cavity beneath the blade is defined by an inner surface of the guard and an inner surface of the blade support structure. The washout cavity has an open area of at least 80 percent for allowing unobstructed passage of water substantially along an entire length of the blade.

  • Patent number: 8220156
Abstract: A hair removal kit having a handle, a cover removably engagable to the handle, and a cartridge removably engagable to the handle. The cartridge has at least one blade. A removable dispensing unit is disposed within the handle. The dispensing unit has a pump, an applicator in liquid communication with the pump, and a reservoir having a first position and a second position. The reservoir is in liquid communication with the pump in the second position, but not in liquid communication with the pump in the first position.

  • Patent number: 7913393
Abstract: A safety razor blade unit mounted for pivotal movement relative to a razor handle about a pivot axis substantially perpendicular to a blade mounted in the blade unit. The blade unit is biased to a rest position by a magnetic return force generated by a set of magnetic elements. The set of magnetic elements are so disposed that the return force increases as the pivotal displacement of the blade unit from the rest position increases.

  • Publication number: 20100236073
Abstract: An electric razor comprises an apertured foil for (1) contact with skin being shaved, and an undercutter (23) urged against the foil and movable relative to the foil, in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the foil, for shearing hairs that protrude through the foil apertures. The foil has a ridge (12) extending along the foil with first and second foil portions (8,9) forming respective flanks of the ridge. The cross-section of the foil is in a plane normal to the longitudinal axis and has an asymmetric arched profile. A first segment (5) of the cross-section taken through the first foil portion (8) has a radius of curvature in the range of 0.5 to 3.0 mm. A second segment (6) of the cross-section taken through the second foil portion (9) is contiguous with the first portion and has a radius of curvature in the range of 5 to 30 mm. The undercutter is in contact with the foil portions at both flanks of the ridge.
