Publication number: 20250016403Abstract: A content selector switch selects, based on a received request for content from a particular remote control device, a multicast network on which to provide the requested particular content. Each multicast network channel of the plurality of multicast network channels is mapped to a respective video channel and each remote control device in the facility (e.g., hotel) is mapped to a respective video channel that the TV controlled by the remote control device stays tuned to. The content selector switch performs the selection by identifying which remote control device in the facility sent the request and selecting the multicast network channel that is mapped to the RF video channel the identified remote control device is mapped to. The content selector switch then provides the specific content on the selected multicast network channel to a multicast-to-channel output device that provides the content on the RF video channel for the TV tuned to that RF video channel to display.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2024Publication date: January 9, 2025Inventors: Joshua D. Wade, Edward Neipris, Russell Whitney, Jason A. Madruga, Max Stephen Gratton

Publication number: 20240330973Abstract: A computer system for issuing customer loyalty rewards includes a rewards regulator in electronic communication with a plurality of communication service providers (CSPs), which supply network connectivity and related services to a group of customers. The rewards regulator includes a rules engine for establishing and maintaining a set of rules for issuing customer loyalty rewards based on defined parameters of customer data use. The rewards regulator additionally includes a rewards engine configured to electronically receive customer data use information from the plurality of communication providers, compare the customer data use information against the set of rules maintained by the rules engine and, when applicable, establish customer loyalty rewards to be issued in compliance with the set of rules. At least one rewards organization in electronic communication with the rewards regulator is configured to receive and process customer loyalty rewards determined by the rewards engine.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2024Publication date: October 3, 2024Inventors: Tyler Nesper, Edward Neipris

Patent number: 11457081Abstract: A network resources discovery system regulates the automated discovery of available network resources using a network-enabled device to ensure that the network-enabled device only discovers the specific network resources which it is authorized to access. In use, a network resources discovery proxy includes a local controller which intermediates network resources discovery request and response packets transmitted between the network-enabled device and available network resources. By comparing the network resources discovery packets against a local, modifiable set of matching rules, the network resources discovery proxy is able to filter out the automated discovery of any types of services and devices provided by a computer network which the network-enabled device is not permitted to receive.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2019Date of Patent: September 27, 2022Assignee: EXPECTATIONS SQUARED, INC.Inventors: Edward Neipris, Daniel Jack Gaido

Publication number: 20100146306Abstract: A retail display system includes a centralized hub and a local retail facility. The centralized hub includes a hub server that independently communicates with a local server at the retail facility. In turn, the retail facility includes a plurality of wireless monitors that communicate with its local server. In this manner, each monitor is capable of wirelessly receiving a bundle of display events from the hub server via the local server, each display event instructing certain monitors to display a particular image at a specific time. To limit its power consumption, each monitor includes a display capable of retaining an image in the absence of power, such as a bi-stable LCD, and is configured to activate either to scan and receive display event updates or to comply with the next scheduled display event. As a result of its limited power requirement, each monitor is powered primarily using ambient solar energy.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2009Publication date: June 10, 2010Inventor: Edward Neipris
