  • Publication number: 20250257169
Abstract: A composition comprises (A) a carbinol-functional siloxane; and (B) a polyisocyanate. The carbinol-functional siloxane (A) is not prepared via a hydrosilylation reaction. In addition, the composition comprises less than 5 mole % of (C) compounds of formula R—Oa—(CbH2bO)c—R1, where R is an ethylenically unsaturated group, R1 is H or a hydrocarbyl group, subscript a is 0 or 1, subscript b is independently selected from 2 to 4 in each moiety indicated by subscript c, and subscript c is from 0 to 500, with the proviso that subscripts a and c are not simultaneously 0. A urethane prepolymer comprising the reaction product of the composition is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20060291827
Abstract: Described are a process and method to synthesize ultrafine materials such as metal oxides and highly dispersed mixed metal oxides. A process for forming an ultrafine material comprises mixing two or more liquid precursor compositions in a mixing apparatus to form a precursor mixture, wherein the mixing apparatus is in fluid communication with an atomizer; atomizing the precursor mixture in the atomizer to form droplets; directing the droplets to a reaction chamber in communication with a volumetric heating source, wherein the a reaction chamber is in fluid communication with the atomizer; volumetrically heating the droplets to produce the ultrafine material; and isolating the ultrafine material.
