    Abstract: To produce pulsating operation of vehicle wheel brakes in response to a continuous application of pressure to the brake pedal, a motor operated pressure switch controlled pulsating or pumping device is interposed between the brake master cylinder and the wheel brake cylinders of a hydraulic braking system. A ported piston within the pumping device is reciprocated and this action cyclically relieves pressure in the wheel brake cylinder lines and re-establishes braking pressure at a rapid rate of pulsation.
