  • Patent number: 11953982
Abstract: Embodiments include in response to monitoring a processor during operation, detecting a first number of core recovery events in the processor, determining that the first number of core recovery events fulfills a first condition for the first core recovery events threshold, and modifying a value of at least one droop sensor parameter of the processor by a first amount. The at least one droop sensor parameters affects a sensitivity to a voltage droop. In response to modifying the value of the droop sensor parameter by the first amount, a second number of core recovery events is detected in the processor. It is determined that the second number of core recovery events fulfills a second condition for a second core recovery events threshold, and the value of the at least one droop sensor parameter is modified by a second amount.

  • Patent number: 7550065
Abstract: A method for recovering a solvent from its mixture containing oligomers extracted from grafted polyolefins is disclosed. The method includes distilling the solvent from the mixture in the presence of a naphthalene compound. The method of the invention significantly increases the solvent recovering yield without causing the vessel fouling.

  • Patent number: 7238260
Abstract: N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-pyrrolidone (HEP) is purified by a distillation sequence in which the purified HEP is recovered as a side stream without being separated as an overhead at any point in the procedure.

  • Patent number: 7138528
Abstract: A method for purifying N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (NVP) is disclosed. The method comprises crystallizing NVP in the presence of added water to produce purified NVP crystals and a mother liquor, and then isolating the purified crystals. In a preferred method, 0.5 to 4 wt. % of water based on the amount of NVP to be purified is added, and the NVP crystals are washed with additional pure NVP, preferably NVP crystal melt, to give crystals having a purity greater than 99.99%. The method provides a fast, effective way to generate and isolate pure NVP in a single-stage crystallization.

  • Patent number: 7060787
Abstract: A process for purifying grafted polyolefins by extraction is disclosed. The purified grafted polyolefins have improved color and adhesion properties. The extraction is performed with an azeotropic solvent that is strong enough to extract impurities but does not cause sticking of the grafted polyolefin. The azeotropic solvent can be easily recycled.

  • Patent number: 7045639
Abstract: A method for purifying N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-pyrrolidone (HEP) is disclosed. The method comprises crystallizing crude HEP to produce HEP crystals and a mother liquor, and separating the HEP crystals from the mother liquor. In one method of the invention, crystallization is induced by adding an HEP seed crystal to the crude HEP. In a preferred method, the crystallization is performed in the presence of 1–4 wt. % of added water. HEP can be successfully crystallized to a purity greater than 99.9%.
