  • Patent number: 9848704
Abstract: A lift and recliner chair which is positionable in multiple reclining positions including both a Trendelenburg and zero-gravity position, in which using an actuator mechanism the position of the back frame can be adjusted in any lift and/or reclining position the chair is capable of achieving without requiring any movement or adjustment to the position of the seat frame or footrest. The actuator mechanism is secured between the back frame and the seat frame or another component of the lift/recline assembly that follows or moves with the seat frame as the chair is moved between a lift and reclining position, while in one embodiment the angle of the footrest is independently adjustable using a separate actuator mechanism.

  • Patent number: 9743770
Abstract: A lift and recliner chair which is positionable in multiple reclining positions including both a Trendelenburg and zero-gravity position, in which using an electronic actuator mechanism the position of the back frame can be adjusted to any lift and/or reclining position the chair is capable of achieving without requiring any movement or adjustment to the position of the seat frame or footrest. The back frame actuator mechanism is secured between the back frame and a stationary position on the lift/recline frame, and has an increased stroke length and is synchronized with a separate lift/recline actuator to maintain the back frame in the same relative position with respect to the seat frame as the chair is moved to and from a reclining position.

  • Patent number: 9729610
Abstract: A method for executing an application on a processor, wherein executing the application includes accessing a data file on a local storage. The method includes the steps of: producing an instruction to use a data file on a local storage; sending a request to retrieve the data file; intercepting the request and temporarily suspending it; downloading the data file from a remote storage to the local storage; allowing the request to retrieve the data file to complete; and using the data file.

  • Patent number: 8826709
Abstract: A relocking mechanism that blocks the path of a bolt within a lock assembly is presented. The relocking mechanism comprises a breakaway member that is repositioned when the lock assembly is attacked by some mechanical means, such as impact applied via a hammer and punch to the lock housing through a spindle hole in a door. The breakaway member prior to attack holds a preloaded relocking plunger clear from bolt movement. When the breakaway member is repositioned upon attack, the plunger is free to move under a biasing force into position so as to block the bolt thus keeping the lock in a secure locked state regardless of the state of the locks default blocking mechanism.
