  • Publication number: 20070196793
Abstract: A simulator is disclosed which includes an image generator that includes a forward display system and a peripheral display system to provide a field of view. The forward display system utilizes a forward projection system to provide forward imagery with high-resolution. The peripheral display system utilizes a helmet-mounted display system to provide peripheral imagery. The forward and peripheral imagery are merged by the image-generator so as to provide a full field of view with as much high-resolution imagery as possible.

  • Publication number: 20070158975
Abstract: A portable protective enclosure for motorcycles or other small vehicles comprising a planar base, right and left substantially identical rear roof members mating to encompass and enclose the rear area of the base, and a cab-like front portion for coverage of the front area of the base. The base includes a retractable ramp for insertion of the vehicle, rails and associated fasteners for fixedly mounting vehicles within the enclosure, right and left substantially identical utility compartments that are enclosed by the cab, a caster mechanism for mobility, and electrical means for providing such capabilities as interior lighting and exhaust and vehicle battery charging. Solar power means may also be included. Mutually engaging attachment devices are included for releasably joining the base, rear roof and cab members into an integrated assembled structure.

  • Publication number: 20070141538
Abstract: A simulator comprising a projection surface, a line-of-sight detection apparatus for detecting the orientation of a trainee's head, a projection system for projecting a high-resolution image and a low resolution image on to the projection surface, and at least one mask for merging the high-resolution image and the low-resolution image in an area that is substantially in the trainee's line-of-sight.

  • Patent number: 6564697
Abstract: A machine for brewing tea. The machine has a housing, a vessel for receiving leaf tea and a hot water supply that supplies hot water to that vessel. The leaf tea is physically agitated within the vessel to maximise the rate and extent of infusion and the resulting infusion is siphoned out of the vessel before it is dispensed.

  • Patent number: 4113297
Abstract: A shaft member is slidably mounted in a flotation chamber. Liquid is fed to the flotation chamber from a liquid storage chamber through a constricted tube when the storage chamber is squeezed, thereby slowly raising the liquid level in the flotation chamber. By virtue of the buoyancy provided by the liquid, the shaft is raised vertically within the flotation chamber as the storage chamber is squeezed and the flotation level in the flotation chamber raised. Means are provided on the end of the shaft for supporting a contact lens. An eye piece is mounted on the device around the end of the shaft, such that the user's eye can be placed on the eye piece and the contact lens raised into contact with the eyeball in its installed position. The eye piece used for inserting the lens is removable and can be replaced with an eye cup which can be filled with liquid for use in removing the lens by bathing it out.
